None of them would fit on a 4x2cm base ;) I'll use 4x4cm and that's it.

Brilliant! Inspired use of the command / RBT figures for the archers.

They look great. Replacing all of the spearmen's spears with pins is an act of insanity, though  :o (I get the reason, but wow that's a lot of effort)

Hey guys! After a loooong hiatus I'm back into the hobby :)
I'm currently working on a scenery I had in mind for a long time.

HE are supposed to project military and economical power across the ocean through their navy, trade routes and colonies. In this spirit, here is the WIP of the "secluded harbor".

This will be used as a camp, placed on a table edge.

Next step: adding the sails.

And some houses that should be the start of a village.

Nice Vincent. I'm working on the FW Windmill and Manor house at the moment. How did you do your greyish stone?

How did you do your greyish stone?

My recipe:
* Black primer
* Heavy white dry brush mostly from top to bottom
* Wash with a cold black. I use 4 parts acrylic medium + 1 part airbrush thinner + Daler Rowney FW Payne's Grey; but a Contrast paint should give a similar result.
* Light dry brush from top to bottom with Vallejo Ivory (any warm white works) to improve definition
* Mix of washes and glazes with some earth-tone at the bottom to simulate dirt. I used Vallejo Flat Earth.
* Mix of washes and glazes with some vegetal green where moss would develop. I used Vallejo Deep Green and Lime Green.

A BB7 team I finished a couple of months ago and did not yet have the chance to play with.
(Click for hires)

Totally based on the real Arkansas Razorbacks football team which I know nothing about but seemed like a perfect fit ;)

They look great.

I should have asked earlier, where are the WM terrain pieces from?

The ship is from Printable Scenery.
The mill and granary are from Cromarty Forge.
Hope that helps :)

Your mate painting of those High Elves came out really well. Thanks for posting them - quite the inspiration as I am finishing off 2 unit of HE archers and a unit of Phoenix guard myself (original GW metals) at the moment.

Never even thought to use crew bolt thrower crew or the spare characters (of which I have quite a few spare) as archer leaders. Good idea.

The ship based camp base is great too. I should look in to those 3d links.

And those BB7 team orcish fellows look pretty amazing. Hopefully you do well with them on the tabletop (I usually find the first outing of any freshly painted unit ends badly for me but, afterwards results improve somewhat).

Happy gaming/painting and take care out there
cheers
