Mercenaries for hire, fill out your list.

I'd like to see a "Mercenaries" faction, that any other faction could use. The idea is to have super cheap troops to help some races fill out their extra needed points (Chaos in particular)

The restrictions would be that you can only buy one unit total.
They're intentionally over costed by a bit.
Maybe something like this:

                   Attack    Hits  Armor     Unit Size    Points     Type
Slaves               1       2       0             3           15 0/1    Infantry
Foot troops        2       3       0            3            30 0/1    Infantry
Archers             2/1    3       0              3          35 0/1    Infantry

Mercenaries can not be given magic items of any kind.

Also each type could be represented by a wide variety of models

I think if the purpose is to use up points - then somethin akin to the Skirmishers you get with the Empire list would make most sense - a single stand that can join an existing infantry unit?

Mercenary slaves? Mercenaries get paid, slaves don't?!

Perhaps just some basic "Good" infantry and archers for good/neutral armies and some "Bad" infantry/archers for evil armies.

Not that it really matters, but "Mercenary" would be the faction name, and "slave" could be substituted with conscripts or whatever, the idea being that they're fighting against their will to some degree. Anyways, I'm not so much in to the fluff, feel free to substitute your own monikers.

Yeah that's a great idea too. Maybe without the skirmisher rule though. Or maybe the unit size could be 1-3 at a cost of 5 pts per stand.
