Vultures and Valkyries are atmospheric craft.  Might be OK to be ordnance markers launched by an Air Base.  Not so good for space.  All the other stuff is great.

Nice stuff! Really digging those Tau aircraft.

In the meantime I've also started working on some ordnance. The torpedoes, fighters, and boarding pods have already been printed. Mines still need to be approved. Next up would be Imperial bombers, Thunderhawk proxies, Ork fighter proxies, and Imperial boarding craft.

I designed myself some "not-quite" Thunderhawks for my GK fleet, I still have like 31 of these left to paint! xD

I need to look into the alternate ordnance options for SM ships and get modeling! xD

These "thunderhawks" are the best on the market I think.

He also has "boarding torpedos" in the form of Caestus rams, which is pretty neat.

I actually recently got those (both of them). On my suggestion, he added another version of the Caestus rams with just the 3-size marker, for people who use the 2010 compendium.

Here's a comparison of the Thunderhawks next to the `official' Forgeworld Thunderhawks:

I'll try to post some painted pics soon.

The detail is great. If I had one complaint, is that the wings on the Caustus, and the stem on the Thunderhawks are a bit thin. I had two Caestus arrive with broken wings, but none since, so it might be a manufacturing issue.
But I did have the stems of several of the Thunderhawks break. Not in normal use, but it's obviously the weak spot.

But if the stuff breaks, Shapeways should (a) be giving you a refund or replacement models and (b) notify the sculptor. Unless the models broke during transport, but even then you should be getting a refund or replacements.
