Prince Yriel, Bearer of the Flame, Autarch of Iyanden - 150 points... He has one re-roll as part of his point cost, but a second or third re-roll must be purchased at the cost listed for Eldar Heroes.
Eldar Hero (Ld 10) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 100 points
You may purchase re-rolls for your Eldar Hero by paying the cost listed below:
One re-roll . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 50 points
Two re-rolls . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 75 points
Three re-rolls . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 100 points
As stated above, Yriel costs 150 points but comes with a re-roll for free. If you want a 2nd or 3rd re-roll, how much would they cost for Yriel?
A) As stated above, he may have additional re-rolls
for the points cost listed, so gaining one additional re-roll (for a total of 2) would be +75 points, while gaining two (total 3) would be +100 points.
B) Because the 50 point re-roll is
included in Yriel's cost, he gives that up when purchasing the other re-rolls as a block (each re-roll is not purchased separately). Therefore one additional re-roll (total 2) would be +75-50=+25 points, and two additional (total 3) would be +100-50=+50.
From a language standpoint both are valid. However if A is true then Yriel is a terrible character unless you limit yourself to one re-roll (at which point he gets a 20 point Aspect Warrior Fighting Crew free, so would be a great buy). From a fairness standpoint, B would be more fair.
(He's an even better buy with The Flame of Asuryan dropping his points cost to 125, but the savings is still completely destroyed with option A)
