Really cool looking ships here, your skills are most impressive. I think gold trim around your dreadnought's gun ports would still be a nice idea in the long run - it's a real showpiece in itself so some extra bling would help it pop even more!

Nice take on grand cruisers by the way. I have managed to scrounge 2 Repulsives (and scratch built an Exorcist) but I long for access to just a couple more without breaking the bank!  ::)

I'm impressed with your recasting skills. A good way to fill gaps in fleets without going insane on Bay of E. And nicely executed too. My own fleet is a similar rag tag idea and your pictures make me want to get back to them!

Thanks very much guys! Pics of you fleet wound be nice Ragsta

This is Brother Sergeant Banek Hargrimm. Permanently attached to Inquisitorial duties due to being a bit of a nutter. He hates psykers basically and that even extends to his brothers in the chapter Librarium!!

I may make him with no power armour on, just simple robes for games where power armour is not required.

Some WIP pics. The chapter was formed bya coalition of Black Templars and Imperial fists during the second founding in an effort to hunt down Iron Warrior Warsmiths and avenge the heresies of the Horus Heresy.

Cheers man!

Still pondering about the weapon on this chap. I think I'm going to go for either a Power Maul (scratch built) or a Thunderhammer off the Dreadknight once I find one! Anyway, work is still going a head (see what I did there?). The head is done.

EDIT:
Here's some more WIP pics.

Holy crabsticks!

That's stunning...... unless of course you've taken an actual human head and jammed it onto a huge drill!

Seriously though, how long did that head take to paint?

No idea to be honest with you. It started off as a mix of Tanned flesh, Dwarf Flesh and Bestial Brown. Then highlighted up with Dwarf flesh, then elf and then Rotting flesh (yes, really) with blending in between....... So, god knows how many layers. Maybe 10 - 15?

The stubble was a mix of grey and the flesh tones watered down and washed over the skin a few times. I then highlighted it up a few times with grey mixed with Dwarf/elf flesh,

All in all the face took me about 2 hours. Stopping now and then when my 'almost 1 year old' decides he wants to attack me.  ::)

Thanks for the kiind words anyway. I'll hopefully get some more work done to him this weekend.

Relegated to the second page? Rubbish, can't have that!!

Been a while since I've made an update but Holidays, work, forgetting to update etc etc. Who cares? You're only here for the toy soldiers. Well...there isn't any. I've just been working on some scenery :D

More Fencing to come but here's the first two sections.

Scenery update. Some more fencing is done but I need to make two more corner sections to finish it off. I've also done/finished some water/fuel tanks. Fable 3 and 40k propaganda posters liberally applied everywhere.

So, a fighting pit?

Or maybe a perimeter fence?

Water/Fuel Towers

I've also received a 1:32 truck. It appeared too small at first so I went ahead and bought (and built) a 1:24 pick up. The 1:24 is far too big to be honest so it looks like I'm going to 40k 'up' the 1:32 truck. Some additional plating, 40k lights and mesh instead of windows should blend it in enough.

Right, here's your Christmas update. One more piece of scenery done! This one is a Prospectors store "Scrap n That". Unfortunately the bulb in the 'S' has stopped working so it says something else now. (I got the name for the store from the name of the thread - You got that, right?) Pics aren't great but you get the general idea.

Merry Christmas!!
