Here is a new shot of the ships in hazy natural light. Colors are MUCH closer to the actual model colors. Every Nikon I have ever owned, including this one (Coolpix P520) loves (is a bit more sensitive to) reds. It seems to lose some that red sensitivity when we we go off into the magenta/crimson/carmine range.

Dauntless is painted in the base color: Rustoleum Harvest Grape Ultra Matte spray paint (which is not so matte as the title suggests). The pink should be a little hotter in the pic. Next step is a wash of GW Druchi Violet, although a I may add some red to that wash.



And for Lord Borak, since I don't seem to have posted a Great White Fleet pic yet, a pic of all the ships together.
The white fleet is intended to be the command squadron for the rest of the fleet. Was originally going to paint the whole fleet this color, but decided on the classic Gothic green color scheme in the end.

Maybe the Segmentum Solar fleet is visiting the Gothic Sector... or there is a Gothic Sector Admiral who likes white ships.

Have neglected to add the Inquisition ships. Inquisitorial Cruiser from BFGXR and Inquisitorial Frigate or Corvette from the ASC. Smaller model is the Clarion from the Blackstone Fortress game rendered in 3D on Shapeways (search "Clarin").

These are still WIP and I have no idea where I'm going with them color wise. Any additional paint suggestions appreciated.

Great stuff all round man. At first I thought the white escorts were bare white metal lol.

Lovely stuff once again. The transports you added are really cool vessels. Like'em.

And to add to Lord Borak's remark: the white escorts miss a contrast colour.

As for the Inquisitorial Cruiser: NMM Gun Metal. Or explore that blue/aqua wash effect you have on the small vessel.
