Can't wait to see some painted pics of this one. Would love to feature it on Vanguard Miniatures' very unofficial Instagram fanpage.

Will do, but I have no idea what color I'm going to paint it.

Holy shit dude that's a thing of things! It's like a ramilies mated with that starport from the bfg rulebook. A perfect blend of both styles. Really really something! Great work...

Needs more domes... Lol

Thank you osj. Glad you like it. Have been enjoying your thread as well.

But, but, domes are so Romanesque or Renaissance or Baroque. ;)

"Gothic domes are uncommon due to the use of rib vaults over naves, and with church crossings usually focused instead by a tall steeple,"

The top beacon is magnetized and removable so that the piece can fit in its transport drawer, so I could put other things up there, like a dome...

Lols, no it was just a self depricating joke as to how I'm always sticking domes on all my bfg stuff...  That in turn was inspired by the rogue trader cruiser design, that was again in turn inspired by classical Greek and also  middle Eastern architecture. So yeah not truly gothic, and as your fleet is gothic sector, through and through. Gothic needs arches, spires and buttresses. And the obvious eagle hither and yon... So yeah again fantastic job.. really an inspiration for me to attempt something huge in the future...

It has arches, buttresses and a spire/tower but, I think there is room for another spire in the triangular redoubt. Oops, did I just buy an Adeptus Titanic Spire set...? Darn you and your wedding cake. Yeah it does need eagles and I have some tiny etched brass eagles but am afraid to superglue them on as the potential for messing up irreparably is very large. Am looking for some plastic eagles now.

The answer with the brassetch eagles is simply don't use superglue. Buy some 'tacky glue' from Hobbycraft. It's a really strong PVA formula designed for hobbyist use. You can just brush a bit on. It is water soluble so any mess can simply wipe off and dries clear. Is surprisingly strong. All the buttresses on my station were applied with a smear in the bottom of them and nothing else. After they were painted too. It takes about 45 mins to an hour to dry too, so your not against the clock so can move stuff about about, and your not then in fear of it affecting painted parts with fumes... Just food for thought...

Thanks much for that, will give it a try.

Bloomin great effort, mate. I am tempted to do something similar using those terrain pieces! I love your addition of the tiny civilian ships on the landing pads too.

Looks like we are starting multiple imperial fleets so thread title is changed...

Here is the beginnings of my Ecclesiarchal subfleet, crewed by Order of the Valorous Heart Adeptus Sororitas. Chaos cruiser based ship is a Cardinal class heavy cruiser. The Helios ship is a battlecruiser that will use the Inquisitorial cruiser stats from BFGXR. Dorsal bombardment cannon turret is magnetized as are the side weapon modules.

First pic is the Ecclesiarchal fleet being escorted by Battlefleet Gothic assets.

Ecclesiarch fleet a thing o beauty and no mistake. The use of chaos ship adds a suggestion of antiquity to it and the scheme is real nice too... Where are the little gold d'sparils from?

Oh and good work on the Astartes. Damn fine collection. Big too! Must have cost some sourcing it all or are there prints/recasts in there..?
Lol the size of those "stormbirds" they are those eagle dropships from vanguard right? I knew I said they look like they were too big but geez. They're originally intended as TH proxies! Now I see them on a base it's pushing it even for stormbirds. But yeah you bought them so you're stuck with them... I thought the grimdarkbits thunderhawks were too big at 7-8mm but I recently found out that the FW ones were around 10mm what are these again 14-15mm? Madness... Still nice detail...

And I take it that's pre heresy da? Hence the lack of green... ;)
