Lol well there's a good reason for that...they are a warmaster version of these chaps. A slightly ACW zouave style bunch of Marauder thunderers. All the remainder will be suitably generic don't worry!

A Warmaster replication from another scales.  Which itself is an homage to historical gaming.  What's not to like?!

Thanks guys - progress a little slow at the moment...I'm waiting for Amazon to send me a 1/8" hold punch as advised by someone here (thanks!) which should make cutting out the shields easier.

If anyone is interested in the shields, once I have finished developing the designs I can send you a PDF sheet of them to anyone who is interested. You'll just need to adjust them to the exact size you need with an art app.

Not much of an update but just based these two strips as I'm  still trying to get used to basing at this scale. My ACW stuff has a simple and quick sand and noch job. But spent a bit more time on these dwarfs.

Any basing techniques and advice greatly appreciated.

I think the rear view really shows up the banner sticker but it's really not obvious on the tabletop.

So impressive! I use very fine wallplaster to even out the edges on the strips to the bases. After this is dried I glue on some pebbles, flock and tufts.

For trolls and ogres and the like I put in some extra work and glued cork/slate onto the bases, then figures on this and even everything out with wallplaster. Pebbles, flock and tufts and I have a nice rocky effect.

They look great, I think your bases are fine as-is. On my own bases I fill the stand/base gap with a very fine sand first.
Now that you've pointed it out, I do see the sticker edges clearly (though on table would be no issue). It may be worthwhile trying to go around the banner with thinned down 'liquid green stuff' (or similar thick-drying paint). It's my usual go-to thing for blending away small nicks and ledges.

Kinda sorta finished these at last (yet to see niggles allowing)...finished the shields with the nail scissors as the hole punch hasnt shown up yet!

Not sure what to tackle next...Maybe need to get a bit more small scale experience before I tackle those Hammerers!

Just rushed this out too. Hoping to have my WM stuff fight out a campaign to the original ME game using the later ME tiles.

Not sure why ME is not an SG but hopefully this is not off topic.

Def. not off topic - Mighty Empires or the 40k version were bsaically in all of our minds designed for Warmaster and Epic campaigns respectively.

I agree that looks great. Do you find you are still able to flip the tile to the alternate side, even with the forest flock?
