Last week a two days tournament happen in Paris at the Waaagh Taverne.

25 players were present from France, Switzerland and Belgium.
Along the tournament was a painting conquest and a trade hall.

At the trade hall on sunday we have the pleasure to see 3 sculptors from OKB14, Winter's Bioforge and Void Crucible. So I can feed you some news and maybe soon some more pics.

OKB-14
The 3D blast markers are now available as resin cast and at about half shapeways prices. OKB14 will give soon the new shop VPC link. Orbital defences are under discussion to follow the same way as resin casts, but no release date was given.
Legion Battleship/Grand cruiser prototype was presented and boy its gorgeous. I'm waiting for his agrement to post some pics.

VOID CRUCIBLE
The specialist ordnance and torpedoes minis. he had come with a limited edition of ordnance that can serve for GW eldars and dark eldars. Well sold out on the day. Let's hope he will make a version for his shop. He was also presenting a project for some xenos transport and other cargo ships, on this last point he doesn't know when he will make them available on his shop.

WINTER'S BIOFORGE.
Bugs spaceship make damn proxies for Tyranids ships. Winter's is finishing the new bug cruiser model which could be available soon. As he was present, we have asked if planned to do other races. He answered that he wanted to finish bugs ships range first, but that biomechanics elves ships were under consideration.
To give you an idea of the biomechanic concept, I would present one of its old custom. This is just to give an biomechanics idea, the biomechanic ships should differ a bit from this GW craftworld eldar conversion:

The post right before yours?  ;)

3: IN (Armageddon)
1: IN (Bakka)
1: IN (Gothic)
2: Eldar
2: Chaos
2: Orks
2: Necrons
1: Dark Eldar
1: Tyranids

That's a nice lot of diversity! I wish BFG tournaments would take off here; even at Adepticon there's only 10 or less people playing, but I think that's mainly due to the fact that everyone is playing everything else that weekend. Maybe if we host one on a different weekend...

What ruleset were they using?

The rules were Armada FaQ 2007 ones

Plus autorized fleet annexes from FaQ 2010
BATTLE FLEET BAKKA Page 32
ORDERS OF THE INQUISITION Page 45
SPACE MARINE DOMINIONS Page 53
ADEPTUS MECHANICUS Page 62
ROGUE TRADERS Page 70
POWERS OF CHAOS Page 101
CRAFTWORLD ELDAR Page 124
ORK CLANZ Page 146
TAU KOR'OR'VESH Page 155

The FaQ 2010 core rules p1 to 18 are not played here (not validated)
The FaQ part from FaQ 2010 p19 to 31 is played here on both players agrement but wasn't validated for the tournament.

Some more pics

The tournament medal rewards

Gold with 1 to 3 stars were for the 3 first tournament players, painting conquest winner and the fair play price
