Space Hulk base?

Hello, my ork player has recently build a space hulk....correct me if i'm wrong but I always thought that the SH has a "model area effect" when it comes to torpedoes and stuff? That's why i'm asking - becouse his SH is rather small and it's kinda goofy to imagine it have 40 hits& stuff when it's barely the size of a battleship.

Space Hulks even have gravity wells.

Technically a big base is enough to play the game as a Space Hulk.

Visually it 'll be odd on the table if its smaller then your average battleship.
