What miniatures are these?
« on: November 23, 2014, 07:47:44 PM »
Hey guys!

What are these? Looks to be something for Brets and undead? Are they GW or something else? Where I found them it claimed to be some early unreleased stuff?
Just surfing around the web looking at stuff and found them at some obscure site while having some time off at work. Downloaded to mobile and got em over to computer now.

Bottom strip of first photo might be Old Glory - assuming the grid is 1cm. They tend to produce 1 inch strips. They also look historical.

Top one with 3 horses no idea

Never seem them before.

In my opinion the way they are scultp could be a test of vampire count figures (but I am guessing, have no idea).

The way the flashes are in the base (air vents) remainds GW, but it is too bold guarante the GW casting only by the flashing.

They are not pendraken, irregular, coppelstone, old glory or kallistra.

The human archers remainds me old glory but not know that old glory could have figures like them. Skellies rchers bowmen are not GW style, but as a test strip all can happen.

Are they marked on the base? some unreleased GW uses to be marked by hand with letteres GW.

hope it helps

They look like test sculpts for the Black Knights, Ghouls and Spirit Hosts - but the sizes of them are strange.

Perhaps these were the tests they did with various armies before they settled on the 40mm by 20mm bases?

Yeah they do have a "feel" of GW... and the flash reminds of it too, but it's not much to go on no ;)
I just haven't seen them anywhere else so hard to be sure. Will try and find the website again!
Looking at http://www.collecting-citadel-miniatures.com/ there is nothing to be found so I dunno...

Interesting :)

collecting-citadel-miniatures is made by fans, if not appear in that webpage does not mean they are not test for GW.

I am sure that site have not all the shots of unreleased warmaster figures.

Can not remember ever seeing this before.

Pre production strips in the early stages of Warmaster that I have ever seen where bretonian knight and men at arms and some kislev like horsearchers. As these do not compare to the dry-boes Undead army, but more like VC (which is not one of the big-6) I would guess not GW...?

Found them again :) They were on ebay all along.

I am slightly tempted to bid on them but then I remember I already have a small hill of lead so nope.
If it is actual unreleased GW-stuff the seller is starting at a very low price... ?

What do you guys think? Real deal? Sceptic myself but then again I know nothing about this sort of stuff.

GW did make a small sculpts pre-WM. I think they were test sculpts of 6mm Fantasy, and I've seen some of the Bretonnians from that line. They had 3 cav per strip, as those skeleton horsemen do. I'm not sure if they're genuine or not. I think we need to summon Marell here, or Oliveraso from Warseer.

Yep. 6mm warmaster stuff. Pré-tests for our range.

You have the whole lot here :

http://www.collecting-citadel-miniatures.com/wiki/index.php/Epic_Scale_Fantasy_-_Unreleased

I have them and i can only say they are really too little to be played along 10 mm stuff.

But it's nice to have them if you're a collector.
