Bought it and played the first tutorial. Never played the tabletop so can't compare them but this seems to be a great game to play in the couch at home ^_^ Will be fun to dive deeper into the rules and all the tactics :)

Only problem I had was connecting my ipad to the tactical cogitators ;)

(Hope this game is a huge sucess for you guys so there will be added races and everything!)

Congrats on the release!  I started playing the tutorials and it all makes sense if you’ve played BFG.  If you haven’t, it might be confusing that hulks keep moving and your ships seem to make leadership checks to fire at more distant targets even if you don’t ask them to (including when there hulks floating around).

Does it save if I have to interrupt a mission?

Unfortunately, I suffered a bug during the second tutorial.  When it was the enemy Firestorms’ turn to shoot, they didn’t.  Nothing was happening.  All the buttons except for “Next” were working, so I ended up surrendering to exit.

Other than that, it’s looking great.

Thank you Carlisimo, so great you like it ! Regarding your question, no it's only saving on the map.

About your problem, we're going to look what is it about... Thank for the feedback! I'll come back to you when I have any news. (And don't hesitate to contact us at support@grandcauldron.com to report any bug)

Absolutely loving this! Haven't had a chance to play BFG yet so a straight up tabletop simulation is perfect for me. Could really use some advice on the first secondary mission though, the one where you have to protect the escort from one end of the table to the other. I managed it in the end but it was more by luck than judgement...

Having played a table top game of bfg over the weekend and just finished the tanker mission in the app game I have to say it's the best transition from table top to tablet game I have seen, so faithful to the original, making me want to get back onto a Nid fleet for the tabletop, can't be bad if it's inspiring the hobby :)

I'm afraid I haven't been keeping a detailed record of bugs, but I'm definitely getting a few.

The most serious is that sometimes ships lose the ability to edit a move (i.e. more backward) if they go past a blast marker or (maybe) another ship.

Two squadroned cruisers with nova cannons don't seem to get two shots.

Not a bug, but the mission with 40 Kraken made me wish there was a fast forward button.  It'd also be helpful when torpedoes that missed their targets are flying around.  One Kraken got through but I still achieved the objective, which confused me a little bit.

Also not a bug, but I find myself hitting my own ships with torpedoes far too often.  It's definitely my fault in most cases, but when it happens right when the torpedoes are deployed I sometimes feel that I couldn't have predicted it.

I've also hit something, not sure what (I swear it was somewhere on the right side of the screen) that canceled the shooting phase of a ship so that I wasn't able to choose what direction its torpedoes ended up going.  That's not specific enough to be helpful... I'll keep an eye out for that and let you know if I do it again.  More a UI issue than a bug, I guess.

In the campaign mission with the Imperial ships and dock that have turned traitor, the orbital platforms have placeholder names.  And the mission didn't end when I had destroyed everything but there were still enemy hulks floating around.

I've failed the leadership roll to fire at more distant targets and been forced to fire at hulks.  It doesn't usually work that way, but it's happened a couple of times.

Why is there a 4x Cobra squadron with the same points cost as a 6x Cobra squadron?

If I turn the sound down, the intro is still loud.  More importantly, I can't figure out how to change the volume during a battle.

Principal and Secondary Missions are still labeled in French, I think.

Any chance the Equip UI could be tweaked?  It'd be great to know how many of each thing I have.  My LD upgrades are in order of acquisition, which ended up being pretty random: Lieutenant, Commander, Lieutenant, Commander, Admiral, Admiral...

Despite those little things I'm absolutely loving this game - thank you very much!  I'm really hoping you'll do an Imperial vs. Chaos version one day.

Hi Carlisimo,

Thanks a lot for your support and for the feedbacks !
Some of those issues had already been reported to the dev team and will be fixed in the next patch, thanks to everyone :)

However:
- Losing the ability to go backward when you hit a ship and get a blast marker, isn't a bug. You can't go back since you dealt damages!
- Maybe try to change the view and watch your game from the top when you want to launch torpedoes, it may help you avoid friendly fire.
- Don't worry, the cost of the Cobra squadron is a bug and going to be fixed in the next patch!
- If you have more info about the thing you hit that cancel your shooting phase, please send us more info (can also send it to support@grandcauldron.com)

Thank you again and Have Fun !
