Magister militum starts to include pics of the new fantasy range in its website. They add a short comment in each references with lot of fantasy flavour.

Some nice looking stuff.

But their website is so so slow. I really would prefer it just to have lists of stuff.

But what kind of droppings does an invisible pony leave?

Could be unpleasant if you are walking behind one?

MM have added some more photos on the website of their new fantasy figures. There are some interesting ones on it!

I've just received a pack of Flying Carpet riders from them. There is a single pose, a kneeling archer on a 15x10mm carpet. No bases are supplied, nor any means of getting the carpets in the air. I'm going to have to try to fashion something, perhaps a bent and trimmed paperclip? Unless anyone else has any ideas?

Those carpet riders are interesting - a lot smaller carpets than the GW ones, which fill a 40x20 base.

As for making them look flying - I would just go with a straight bit of brass rod (or paper clip). Drill a hole in the base and in the carpet, and super glue together. It should hold fine. If you drill up in to the rider you should get a very good grip to the carpet.

Some more photos of the fantasy range loaded on the MM website. I'm not sure why but some of the photos don't match the description of the figures - not that it matters, it's clear what each one is.

a lot of the models are really badly painted..... really puts me off as I struggle to get an idea of whether it's a decent model with a poor paintjob or a crappy model all-round....
