What are these? Dreadclaws?
« on: May 20, 2014, 03:58:33 AM »
So what are these things? They were sold as Dreadclaws but they are flat on the backs. Half Dreadclaws?

Thanks!

I do not own any official dreadclaws, but I have a hard time imagining what else this could be. However, having a multipiece ordnance thing for BFG seems overly fiddly. Could they be Epic Warhammer 40k dreadclaws instead?

The backs are flat. Should two of them be glued together on the flats to make a complete Dreadclaw?

I ordered mine from GW and they came as you pictured

I couldn't figure out how to mount them, or was too lazy to do so
So I never used them

But I think each is a single dreadclaw, with the claw forward to grapple?

Backs are flat, but there is a notch that looks like its intended to mate with another piece, so it seems that these pieces are incomplete.

May need to sculpt a new second piece to complete the models...

my suspicion is that these are bits for some 40k gun or such and was being passed off as dread claw for bfg by GW

they really do look a lot like old necron gauss weapon muzzles....
Nova Cannons are for these sissies who as a kid too preferred to throw stones at the others from a safe distance rather than closing in and get into a real fight ;D
