Impressive!

How did you make the Death Rockets?

Edit:

Alternatively, how about these?

Difficult to tell from the one photo, but perhaps tipping the launcher so the long bit to the left of the wheels is pointing at the sky?, with the rocket near the start of the launch rails?

I think the Eureka Hellmaw cannon comes with 6 crew, which would be difficult to fit on a single 40x20mm base. So use a couple of the crew with one of the Pendraken launchers? I might give it a try  :)

I like them.

The death rockets make me laugh a little though- I can just imagine the dwarf lighting the fuse, running, and hoping it lands somewhere near an enemy (I can't picture the little dwarf aiming the giant rocket in a meaningful way). I've always though Chaos Dwarfs, like their greenskin slaves, should have a funny element.

Many thanks.  The rockets are from the WHFB Empire helblaster kit.  The Pendraken ones look interesting; perhaps they'd be good for a Cathay list?  Next up for painting are Hobgoblins on foot & mounted (Copplestone Orcs), then Black Orcs on foot & mounted (GW Orcs), and finally the CDs themselves (Eureka).

So, no longer a work-in-progress ...

Infantry units first.

Very nice! Always great to see new progress on an army, especially a rarer one like CD. =0

Great indeed. Those dwarves are from Eureka, aren't they?

Thanks.

Yes, the CDs are Eureka but I only used the ones with fur coats plus a few blunderbusses.  The other Eureka minis - especially those with cutlasses - look bit too 'pirate' for my tastes.  Hobgoblins are Copplestone.  Black Orcs are GW.  And the Orc Slaves are Kallistra.

Have played a couple of games with the army and it's a bit odd.  Half of me wants to play them like defensively like Dwarves, whiile the other half errs towards a Chaos 'up and at 'em' approach ...
