1000pts Armageddon fleet list

So decided to give the Amragedon fleet list a whirl after I stripped and started painting a strike cruiser, so I'm thinking of trying this:
Armageddon class battle ship Imperial truth 365pts
Mars class Battle cruiser Remus Aurielius 270pts
Space marine strike cruiser Angel of Hope 145pts
Gothic class cruiser Shinso 180pts
940pts just remembered everyone's favorite bit, the admiral :/ not sure how I would fit him in... and the idea of having two nova cannon with a load of lances and a bombardment cannon seemed like a fun idea.. maybe drop the mars for dictator or nova armed lunar or tyrant and spend the remaining points on escorts?
I admit I'm not sold on the Battlecruisers, you seem to be paying 50 odd points for extra range that is useless/not particularly usefull, normally use the bastion fleet for the grand crusiers but wanted to try the strike cruiser.

You're much better off using Strike Cruisers in pairs. A single one just doesn't have enough oomph, though the Thunderhawks are nice.

It's parly there just for the Thunderhawks, it seems unwise at this level to not have attack craft, yet the dictator is such a points sink.
It's partly why I love the exorcist grand cruiser so much, as has the shields and hull points to back up it's price tag, whilst the Dictator is just expensive.
