More spider ideas:

15mm spider so not sure of the size.

Pendraken spiders look a little squashed but all the other spiders I've looked up are just too big to fit on a single 20mm by 40mm base. These are what I will use for Mirkwood spiders unless someone comes up with a better suggestion!:

Pendraken giant bat swarms look beautiful:

Ah, stop press, just found these spiders:

I really would like to get hold of some Warhammer Quest giant spiders as I feel they might be the right size but there's no auctions of them on eBay right now.

Found a new option!

I was lusting after the Warhammer Quest ones but I feel perhaps they are just too large - would just about fit on a 20mm base but might look too big.

These models used to be used owned by Mega Minis which have sadly had to shut up shop.  However, Turnkey miniatures bought the moulds and have them on their webstore:

Again, they are probably a little large but the legs being lower to the ground and the smaller eyes I thought might make them more appropriate to 10mm scale compared with the Warhammer Quest ones.

Just found the perfect spiders here...

Problem is that they are some bitz from the huge Warhammer Arachnarok kit, and as such, not that easy to find on bitz sites or eBay.
