A tiny bit of progress. I needed to take a break from computer related projects and do something with my hands so I stopped to clean up and paint a couple of French destroyers from the Catalyst Leviathans box set. I've got a client project I need to focus on tomorrow and maybe Thursday before trying to get this guy finished out.

Progress was getting most of the the creases in place so that the subdivision modifiers can make all the faceted edges curve smoothly and getting the weapons modules cleaned up and ready to go. That leaves the underside, engines and prow for cleanup and the split cannon prow.

After that we should be ready for first pass at the prototypes and cleanup of anything I missed.

Well Folks, this is one of the last updates that's going to have the renders of the model. At this point, barring any crazy need to resculpt, we are ready to do final checks and get these ready for printing. You'll notice that, in addition to the new Gun prow, the curves throughout both prows and the hull are now smooth. There are a lot of other under the hood changes to aid printing, but you probably won't see them. :)

Yeah that's the stuff. Would like to see some ship to ship launchers on the prow as an option but that's minor quibble.

Update, but no new pics. :( I've finished cleaning the model and exporting the pieces for printing. Next stop will be to send those off for the first round test prints which I hope come back fine. If so, then it's on to production.

The next item on the list are a few escort designs to match the cruiser.

I could use a few of those as Adeptus Mechanicus cruisers. Very nice!

These ships are amazing. I could use some of those for my HH EC fleet. :)

Awesome! well a bit of an update here, the pieces have gone through the checks and are off at the printer so hopefully we'll see them by the end of the month. After that comes the first casts and we'll be ready for production.

In the mean time, I've started work on the concept for the frigate class ship that Zac will be using to build the model using more traditional methods.

Can we see that concept work, or is it still classified?
