TBH, I'm not really sure. My part is to design the ships and create the 3d model for the print but the rest is being handled by other team members.

Sorry to push, but what price would these be going for?

Again, I don't think we've finalized the prices. Depends on production costs and distribution cost and I don't want to tell you something that's way off base.

So Battlegroup Helios is, or will be, an actual company? The team has its own equipment for printing and such? If so, could you check what kinda printer they use using, and what material will be used to make the master?

Don't know if I'm pushing it here, if so I really apologize, don't want to create an awkward situation. It's just that I'm super curious how you guys will do the production. :)

It isn't a company per se... think more model line. Again I don't really have any details to give you but we've talked about a wax master that they do something chemically to that erases or somehow smooth out the printing striations.

What software are you using for the design process?

Oh awesome. I still need to get into that program. I'm really bumping into the limitations of SketchUp.

So any updates on this project? :)

None at this point. I believe we are ready to move into the build stage, but I've got a few pressing deadlines before I can start in on it.

So I realize it's been quite a while since I posted the concept art. The truth is not much happened since I've had several outstanding projects that needed finished before I could start on this. Between this week and next I should have enough time to finish out the model and prep it for printing. Right now there's still detailing to add to the superstructure and bridge as well as some filler on the engines to aid casting and some final detail on the wing and rear between the engines.... as well as the entire underside of the model.

In the mean time, I thought I'd post a couple of teaser preview renders of how the cruiser's shaping up for everyone. Enjoy!
