It's about 76mm long, so more akin to a Light Cruiser.

Prey seem very strange, compared to usual vessels, but i like it.

Wow... That’s really rather different and cool. I like it!

Um... Could you ask Vanguard to hurry up with their 3mm scale Cybershadow Leviathans too Malika?  :P

Can I ask a cheeky question about when we can expect some more ship releases?

For example, the Helios cruisers are great so I mean to get some of those BUT when can we hope to see some slightly smaller ships, say 8cms or so like the above example, that I can use as a light cruiser? The heavy frigate is great but I crave a bit more variety!

Also, when will we see more escort style vessels? Those have been teasered already but I have some cash burning a hole in my wallet and I would love to know how long I must hold out  ;D

Thank you and apologies!

Funny that you should mention more escorts...

Ooooh! Any word on the above lighter cruiser you’ve tormented us with already? I seem to remember Vanguard asking if customers were up for some form of pseudo Kickstarter to get a bunch of the ships out?  ;D

Real life obligations have kept me from doing any serious modelling work. I did finish several Novan Elites escorts (three typea of Destroyers, another Frigate, and something smaller) which are in production queue I guess. I've also done two armed civilian escorts (light frigate sized) and a modular transport ship which should have been printed out by Vanguard.

As for Light Cruiser sized models. A civilian light cruiser is almost ready for printing (engines and castability need to be sorted out). Based on that I can also finish the two Light Cruisers I've been working on for the Novan Elites.

Sadly enough I can't give you an ETA since my full time job and building a home are kinda getting in the way lately. :(

What?! Real life stopping play?! Unacceptable, sir!  ;)

Thank you for all that info, sounds ideal once it’s all out there! Yes, Mr Vanguard tells me they’re releasing that batch of escorts you mention shortly, which is a good start haha. At least this way I can hope to paint them in a phased manner instead of the 15 warships I’m doing right now  ::)

I like the sound of those civilians - variety is the spice of life / Imperium..

Hope your house building goes well, mate

More variety is indeed important. I'd love to do more (semi-)civilian ships, time will tell if it'll be possible.

However, I did get instructions to finish some 6mm tanks and buildings first. So expect the coming weeks to be dedicated to that.

So this just happened...

Novan Elites Lynx Class Destroyers - £5.00

Quote
Lynx class Destroyers are small and fast craft that are capable of quickly delivering their deadly cargo. For its size the Lynx is heavily armed, making it a jack of all trades. Its basic armament includes two dorsal mounted twin turrets to take out incoming ordnance which can be replaced with planetary bombardment cannon as the mission dictates, and two pairs of prow torpedo tubes. Its broadsides allow for different types of weapon systems which can be changed whilst in dock due to its modular design. Most common broadside configurations are either weapon batteries or launch bays for a small compliment of fighters and assault craft.
Its diverse armament is also its main disadvantage. A lot of space normally used for supplies such as fuel, ammunition, foodstuffs, and oxygen is sacrificed for the Lynx’s many weapon systems. What this means is that the Lynx needs constant resupplying, making it incapable of long independent missions away from sources of supply. Because of this the Lynx is often deployed on short duration missions only, when not operating as part of a larger battle flotilla.

This set contains:
2 x Lynx Destroyer hulls (1 x batteries, 1 x launch bays)
2 x optional wings sets and twin turrets
2 x alternative bombardment turrets

Painted by John Fielding in Ferro Ascendancy colours.
Model length approx. 38mm
Flight base not included
