What makes you doubt the colour?

The Death Guard green is a very nebulous green, very hard to pin down. Have ordered the GW Elysian and Castellan green paints that Forge World uses for their DG and will give them a try. What I have on the ship looks OK, but I want to make a couple more attempts at mixing the color with shade, basic color and highlight color.

Hmm, I also think some brass would do wonders...

Brass or perhaps bronze, although I am going to go very light on "decoration"/bling as it does not go with the DG fluff describing their livery as very plain.

For myself I always wanted to do Death Guard less in obvious green colours and more a sickly white...

But the joy of the universe is that you can really do them any way you want!

Really loving those printed ships!

Working on a few cruisers that will be in pre-Heresy colors with only a little plague infection, similar to the Space Marine battle barge on the previous page (post 134). Today I'm working on making ways to make the the white/gray a sickly color, starting with Reaper Vampiric Skin as the base color.

That sounds great!

Sorry, I wasn't telling you what to do, just something I'd thought about doing for EPIC. =)

No problem, it was something I was already planning/working on.

Got the ram ships and heavy transport done (may go back in a do a little more detail on the heavy).

After washes over the base coat. Used Army Painter Plague Shader (green), Red Tone and Purple Tone washes and am very happy with the color gradations between the mixed colors. These pics try to capture this.

And finals. Flash brightened up the off white a bit too much.

Man, that transport ship looks amazing! Did you spend a lot of time cleaning up the print lines and such? In my own experience (model painted by Miniatures of the North) the print lines remain pretty present.

I did do some cleanup on the hull, especially on the curved front surface, but cleanup was pretty minimal. The cargo modules on the other had lines and some of the material was soft, so considerable cleanup was needed.

Most of the lines and planes on the hull are flat and square, so probably print better than curved or angled surfaces (think pixels in images). This ship is cruiser sized, so considerable larger than your ship.

If I were looking at printing masters for resin casting I would be looking for a much higher res printing system.

Nice work, but this is my expectation of you.  I love the color and feel. Although I question the green and white of the engine glow.  It feels off some how.  Did you change colors?  It feels to loud, electric or something.  Your prior glow on prior ships looked really good, but these need some thing.  Overall great work and as a gift for yer efforts you can keeps dem "Rotten Boyz" as day leave dis smell dat even da snots don't cares for.

Will take a look and compare to the older ones. Flash was probably too close as well...
