Aldhick's Warmaster stuff
« on: May 13, 2013, 07:54:28 AM »
As I already mentioned somewhere else, I've "discovered" Warmaster as my favorite GW game after 16 years of "playing" Warhammer. Actually it was much more modeling, than playing because I was desperetely tired of the herohammer stuff and balance issues. But most of all it was too obvious, that commercial principles are way more important than the spirit of the game.
Alas two months after my first WM game that got me into it seriously, GW decided to close the SG altogether. Whatever.. I've learned how to help myself so I'm not gining up :-)
So here are my first units of Toomb Kings. So many thanx to Vincent and his creativity, as he and his TK are great inspiration to me. Most of all the shields, that give the army much more toomb-kingish :-) look.

Wow!  Great!

Yes, Vincent's army is intimidatingly good - the effort on the shields makes a HUGE difference.

Don't despair, as Khemri Undead are one of the most common armies along with High Elves, shouldn't be too awful to get more on ebay or here if you are patient. =)

The army is really nice, especially the tombking style! May I ask how long/difficult it was to convert the shields?

Thanx all for comments. Here goes an update. There is still one unit of archers with original shields to fill the numbers, but they are going to be replaced soon. I'm not very good at details so I better take pictures of my army only as a whole.

It all looks good to me - easily "tabletop standard", and then some. =)

I don't want to make new thread so I put it here. One of my projects I want to start after the TK are done is a Middenheim army with Teutogen guards and White wolf knights taking large part in it. As I looked throug the empire stuff I have colected from different sources in past months I was quite shocked to find Middenheim hero on horse, that I wasn't even aware of it's existence (this one  http://i648.photobucket.com/albums/uu205/jchaos79/Empire%20WM/flagelantedelloboblanco.jpg). Where does this figure come from? Is it part of empire characters blister or some other? Thanx.
