I have a simular situation. I used the UK site and my order didn't appear anywhere. I emailed them and they said to call, so I called and they told me they couldn't find my order, and had my email fowarded to the UK. I then called the UK Branch and they said it will take 28 days, plus the time it takes to ship. I hope they honor that.

Also have a delayed order placed with the GW Australia webshop. The order was just sitting there for a week, so I emailed them and got this reply:

Quote
In regards to order xxxxx.
Unfortunately we’re out of stock of Eldar Aconite Frigates, Eldar Nightshade Destroyers and BG Wraithship Cruiser at the moment. According to our UK office we should be getting more in stock sometime towards the middle to late part of July \. In turn this is holding up you order as we only ship orders that we can completely fulfill.

I elected to wait for restock. Fingers crossed. :P

Maybe GW is playing silly buggers with us. Maybe they're using the fear of running out of stock as an impetus to shift sales along. Then when we're all begging for more models they'll just run up another batch. Probably with a price hike.

A collector's series!  For the true GW aficionado.  :P

Doubt it.  But maybe a boxed game like dread fleet.

DreadSpace Fleet!

You get one imperial light cruiser, an eldar battleship, three tau escorts, and a marine strike cruiser to play against a chaos battleship, Ork kill kroozer, Dark Eldar light cruiser, and a squadron of Necron jackals!

Evil Totally Not Blackbeard the Chaos Lord has assembled a fleet of piratical raiders to storm the Omala sector!  It's up to the dashing Admiral Nelson and his disparate alliance to stop Blackbeard before he succeeds in ravaging the sector and ascends to daemonhood!  Rulebook contains 4 scenarios, none of which actually pertain to the boxed game's metaplot.

Gothmog likes this post!

It almost seems like a plot line to a Dawn of War game...

What am I talking about. It would be. That would be a Blood Raven Strike Cruiser.

Once BFG was a boxed game, with add-ons, called SpaceFleet.

I can imagine GW doing these ' tricks'  with all Specialist Games. Creating a yearly hype.

As long as the ships from such a boxed game are in scale and it provides neat scenarios it might be cool.

If they eventually get to you and say "sorry, we are out of those" you should say "make me some."

after some screwing around with the german store guy and the german customer service who said they have no idea and can't help me, i decided to jump into the cold water and called GW UK.

wasn't easy, me being a german, but yeah.
was worth it. i'm getting my models. did what you said: "MAKE ME SOME!" ;)

Nova Cannons are for these sissies who as a kid too preferred to throw stones at the others from a safe distance rather than closing in and get into a real fight ;D

Emailed them today and they are waiting on models from the UK. No eta on when those will be down though. Wait and see for another two weeks again. Still pretty sad I couldn't get the mechanicus light cruiser.

I was pissed when it kept saying it was in stock and I kept trying to order it and couldn't

The Mechanicus Light Cruiser kept teasing me saying it shipped in 24 hours but then there was no sufficient stock and I could not order one.  :(
