This is fine on the Endurance and Endeavour but what are we voting the Defiant to be? And would it really be the end of the world if the Defiant got a proper 4 launch for ~30 points more?

I presume this poll is intended to say 6+prow, 90 degree turns and 125pts, right? Assuming we keep bakka, it has +1 turret at +5pts in that list, in addition to the +1 turret for +5pts they can all grab. Would we be keeping this for the endeav/endura/defiant in BFG:R as well?

The one that is in the list now is the one that was voted on back in the early days of BFG:R.

EDIT: Hold on..... The Defiant that I smothermaned the other day has 2 lances, now WBs. I realize that the profile in the older voting set has WB2 and not lances. That change the points quite a bit.

WB2 version: 114.2
2 Lance version ~125

Yes, I quoted myself. Anyways, what are we going to do about the Defiant? At this point, it is less powerful than the other two and smothermans out to 114.2 Should we just make it 115pts with the WBs?

Firstly, because it was derived via means other than Smotherman. Pulling a number at random out of the air has a better chance of being accurate than Smotherman. Secondly, these ships have half the shields and firepower of a line cruiser, 75% of the hits and 100% of the turrets. Even assuming the shields/turrets balance out to 75% (and I would argue that 100% shields + 50% turrets would be stronger) then we are left with 75% defensive and 50% (well, 51.5%) offensive capabilities. Granting that each of these abilities is worth 50% of the cost of a line cruiser (which we should assume as the line cruiser is the benchmark of BFG) we see a total cost of 113.86 pts. I would suggest however that the 1 shield / 2 turret combination is not really worth 75% of 2 shields / 2 turrets, so we can safely assume this number to be high. Given shields are usually around 5 pts more than turrets I think we can round down to a nice even 110 pts. Then we just add the 90° turn. Hard to quantify, but a 10 pt price tag seems fair. Paying more seems like a bit of a rip-off, particularly for a ship-of-the-line.

Note that there is no price hike for the LFR nature of the prow WBs. What is gained by the ability to focus that weaponry is lost by its inability to combine with the prow weaponry. And really, even at losing 0.5WBe I think that most people would agree that the extra torp would be stronger than the 2 swinging WBs. A salvo of 3 torps is more than 1 torp better than a salvo of 2.
