I need one of those!

Edit:

Hi Dave
Could you please take a picture of the backside of the iron breakers?

The last meaningful work I did on my Warmaster Dwarves was seven years ago (nearly to the day). I'd been humming and hawing about a Warmaster army for awhile now, and settled on the Dwarves when I got back from Scotland a few weeks ago. Since then I've finished the silver and gold, and laid down the first layer for the wood. I have no idea if I'll get these to a usable state before Fall In! in November, but I'm trying.

Dave, looking good so far. Like the use of gold.

Very nice method!  I think I'll employ that when the distant day comes that I get around to my dwarves.

Hey, great work here ! And nice unreleased units !

I love the iron and gold choice of colour. Will you paint the faces with a flesh colour or let them as is ?

Flesh, I still have the white, blue, and leathers to do before I get to the flesh and hair.

Those blokes look awesome Dave. Look forward to when you finish them. Reminds me I have about 7 odd blisters of dwarves to attend to myself. Like the Metal and gold contrast. I have been abit intimidated to start on my dwarves but you have given me confidence to at least try.

Reckon you could do a kick starter for some dwarven iron breakers, double handed hammerers amongst your lovely empire figs?

Thanks so much for posting your work - much appreciated.

cheers
Gary

Thanks guys.

The wood and white have now been finished up and I started in on the blue on the dwarves. This is going to be a long one, I think. There's a lot of small areas that I'll need to be careful on. After that it's leathers, flesh and hair. Fourish weeks left before Fall In, still hoping to make it.

I'm gaming tonight so I won't get getting any further on these guys this week. The blue shade and base color are down, it needs 1-2 highlights next and I made hit it with a wash to see if I like it better that way. Leathers, flesh, hair and basing to go!

I put the final two highlights on the blue this past week, managed to get the bases and boots based coated, and now I'm working through all the leather belts, straps and satchels on the dwarves.

I was also curious last night and took one figure to completion. I didn't use a wash on the skin, I'm not sure if that's the way to go yet. You can also see the leather on this guy too, not sure if it needs one more highlight or not. Thoughts?

Nice so far :)

Will you add flesh paint or keep them metal ?

That's an intimidating amount of minis but you've done a grand job with them!

Thanks stormwind. The number I'm taking on in one go is definitely wearing on me.

I finished the leather on the dwarves this week, man did that suck. There's just a bunch of tiny leather details everywhere. Anyway, the base-coat for the flesh is down now so it's that and the hair, plus decals and basing.

It's unlikely that I'll get to these before Fall In! but they're playable at least.
