Sorry, the pictures said they were the shuttle Columbia but yes I see your links say Armageddon.

Yeah when I saw the links I was disappointed (beacuse I've seen Armageddon so many times  :P) and because Columbia wasn't hit by asteroids.  No worries!

Thanks Lord Duggie the Mad!

Thank you guys.  With the final comp date being tomorrow, I finally had to call it quits with this one. Thanks for looking.  Full size pic http://i.imgur.com/yBkAF.jpg

Fantastic job. This is just grade A coolness. I understand that at some point you got to call it "quits" on a project and especially when it comes to entering it for Gothicomp, but I do have a few small suggestions that you might be interested in doing sometime in the future.

1. I love the bulbious nasty 'nid pulsating sack body worm thingy butt for the beast. Especially with the larger veins and tubing. I'd suggest you go with that even further and use the old gloss coat + red thread trick used for making "eyeball" creatures. You can just cover the "butt sack body" with that and make it look even more disgusting that it already is. :D
2. More "fire" in the explosions. I actually missed them when looking at the final collage entry photo the first time. Getting more red and yellow deep in there I think would make them pop more and give that look of being just seconds away from the big boom when the entire battleship goes up in one colossal explosion.

But regardless, this thing is just WOW.
As we Imperials say, "The Emperor [class battleship] Protects..."

Truly a masterpiece... it reminds me of a famous painting of a sailboat being destroyed from beneath by a giant squid.
