Lovely dark elf army! From an aging gamer's perspective, the darkness helps as a reminder: Oh yes, that's the Dark Riders.

And now, a change of pace, the first ever stand of Epic infantry I think I have ever painted!

Hi Stormwind. Glad to see such a good first try. Personally, I came from the other way around. I have painted several Epic armies and just recently tried out 10mm. I still think 10 mm is huge sometimes.

You could have chosen easier armies, though. Force weapons and heraldry in 6mm... I wish I knew better. I have two Grey Knight Thunderhawks in progress  ::)

Thank you!

I don't think I will really be doing true heraldry, ha ha!  I did try a quartered shoulder pad but you can barely see it.  I think a simple white / red alternation will be what I focus on, even for the vehicles.

Oh, did someone say Thunderhawks? :-X

Thanks, guys!  aircraft are low priority right now!  Plan is to do the basics that could proxy a codex list first so I can actually learn the rules of the game, ha ha!

Finished the General for my Dark Elf army!  This is the Manticore model but I trimmed the base and put it on a proper round 40mm Renedra plastic base - something that I have done with all my Generals and large mounts.  I chopped up a spare High Elf archer from a chariot and a High Elf hero from the command blister to add some casualties...

oh man, it would be so hard to play you in a game of warmaster.  I would just stare and completely forget where I am for about 30 minutes.

Nice, nice, nice... Really nice.

We where talking about blood cauldron on the french forum. I will relay a link to your subject here.

Where did you found those nice elf/eldar sceneries ?

The blond elfe looks like a high elf in front of the Epic avatar. Is it a dark elf or a waiting to be sacrified high-elf ?

@Marell

The scenery is form the Eldar 40k range unfortunately, which means you must buy it from "bits" websites.  The one by the Cold One rider is from the Dire Avengers set:

http://www.bitzbox.co.uk/product_info.php/eldar-dire-avengers-statue-p-177

The one one with the banner bearer is from the Wraithlord / Dreadnought set:

---

The figure is a High Elf, yes, about to be sacrificed!  He is the helmetless loader from the High Elf Repeater Bolt Thrower crew!
