Yes, all the gems on my High Elves are painted very roughly to have that 3 stage effect!  Every single spearman in the infantry units has two on his spear, one on either side.  The Silver Helms have several on their helmets and on the base of their lances, too.

Have completely stalled on Warmaster, my mind is in revolt and so I am painting Blood Bowl for a break.

Beautiful stuff! I just don't seem to have the patience for painting ranked troops, I've been trying to paint the same unit of Halberdiers for the last few months.

Once again I envy your productivity and the quality you consistently achieve.
