Liking the continued blue/red & oxidised metal look.

Thanks for your kind words, guys.

I use Dwarf Bronze (old GW range) for the coppery armour, but it's not going to last forever.  I have to decide whether to try the new high pigment GW copper / bronze, Hashut Copper, or try the Game Colour Vallejo option eventually.

I used to use a diluted Hawk Turquoise as a "verdigris" wash, but I got lazy and have the new GW "Nihilakh Oxide" which is probably a bit too bright but not bad.

After finishing the horsemen I completely collapsed and felt swamped with other stuff, uninspired.  I cleared my desk and told myself to do a single test strip as a template, same as I did with the horsemen.

This is the result.

Looking really good. I have more or less a rule: to not paint the same unit (figures) one after the other... I remember I paint mostley the goblins of Bofa at once... and I got crazy... I take ages until I took the brushes again, so I decide to paint several armies at once and jump form unit to unit. It works for me...

Relax, if necessary paint a little bit other scale or period.

Anyway... The test strip of marauders in blue look awesom

Yep, very nice as always. The global army will look very nicely.

Very nice looking marauders! I don't think the verdigris looks bad at all, anything too dark would make it a bit hard to notice on the table. At this scale figures need a bit of help to stand out.

I totally understand the uniform fatigue syndrome, occasionally I paint 6mm Napoleonics for pocket money and the novelty wears pretty thin pretty quick!

Tell me about it. I tried my hand at a thousand 6mm Great Northern Wars Swedes. Their uniforms are even more boring than Naps after a few units.

Stormwind...the Tamiya metallics are good also. I always have a few knocking about.

Finally!

First Marauder infantry unit done.  They are very fiddly with lots of little details.

They are very nice :)
I especially like the rusted effect. Very effective at this scale!

I tried taking a full picture of the armies.  Not easy without a white cloth or a proper camera but I think me, some printer paper and Photoshop did the best we could!

Looking good. I always find taking army shots of Warmaster to be tricky but I think you nailed it, simple means or not.
