Part completed HE bolt throwers, first experiment with Imperial Primer as manual undercoat.

- Astronomicon Grey base coat
- Ceramite White on top of that.  Chainmail for the metal - will use blue on the side parts - was considering gold but I really want my elves to look cold and alien if possible.

I'm trying Charadon granite as a very dark brown on the little tree stumps that are on the HE bases, want to suggest trampled wood I guess.

There, finally finished the throwers, that's two lots of crew based and the "shale" painted, now to paint the crew themselves!  These are the first things I've painted as an adult and it feels good. =D

They look pretty damn good. I mean, there's not a whole lot you can do with this scale. I like the highlights on the blue parts and good contrast everywhere else. Even though the photo is a bit over-saturated you can still see the contrast, so that's good painting on your part  :D

Also, base looks really good. If "shale" was what your were going for, shale is what you got. Would like to see the loaders done too!!!

Hello all,

I am really sorry, this isn't a specialist games thing - though it's an Infinity model, which is very much in the spirit of Inquisitor and Necromunda!

The reason I am posting this is that this is the first model I have finished in about 8 or 9 years I think.  And it's given me a bit of a boost.  There's passing interest in my club for Epic - but right now I feel I burning desire to finish the rest of this Infinity group, and sort out a Saga warband of Normans.

The figure looks awesome. I specially like the face, with the beard. Robes and armour looks wear, cool.

Infinity has really good figures, and is quite common here in Spain.

In fact i love these miniatures, i have a painted nomad army and an aleph army still in the box :-)

Your ariadna's army is going to be beautiful if all of the miniatures have the same level...

Sorry but it looks like all my painting is going to be non Specialist stuff for the foreseeable future. =-<

I still want to share pics with my comrades though.

This is my first Line Kazak for my Infinity force!  Took me ages to get the face right but I think I am learning!

I have some Merovingians cleaned up and based too so I have them to paint if I want a break from green camo to grey camo. = )

I like it. Wonderful job on the eyes, they add a lot of personality. My only comment is that the blue corneas make him look like he's addicted to melange.

Ha ha, thanks.  The problem is that his right eye is perfect, but the sculpt has... just the tiniest fraction of a millimeter drop on his left eye which makes it almost impossible to dot a pupil and make them look even.  So I compromised and just suggested a bright blue.

Just to show I've not been idle...

My friends at my club are getting into Black Powder and Blitzkrieg Commander II.

Both of these systems are very heavily based on Warmaster, in the very least in terms of the command roll 2D6 structure.

I am hoping in time to get them to play my game, this year if possible. :-X

In the meantime this is what I've been up to...

1: An Eternity Stair terrain piece for my friend.  He paid me with some GW drybrushes which have come in useful for scenery!

2: Metros for Infinity.  Still haven't finished these properly but proud of what I did.  2 of them, but the person I played with is moving house to the Midlands and has also gone on Missionary work to Honduras.  So... Kind of hard to play with him again so Infinity is mothballed unless an older club member comes out of the wood work to play. =D

3: Levies for Saga.  We have a tournament coming up later this month, still have 16 cavalry and 8 footmen to paint for it, just finished undercoating and basing them now.  This crowd of 12 is the first unit I have ever finished painting.  Ever. =)

4: Warmaster Bridges!  From the Kalistra Hordes and Heroes 10mm terrain resin range.  I've got 3, these 2 are already passable, one left to go.   Just painted them today!

My first ever finished Epic unit! A space wolf rhino.

And some more on the assembly line.  When I get a better picture of the falcons I will post them.  19 falcons I'm painting in the Mymera colour scheme.

Wow! Looking good.
19 Falcons - I'm jealous. Wished I'd picked up an epic eldar army before it all went bang!
