Not much to show - but since I'm trying to get back into Warmaster generally, I thought I'd resurrect this thread...

I saw in the other thread about putting banners from 28mm kits onto metal warmaster sculpts so I had a go at it, myself.

I used the Warhammer Dragon Prince pennants that go on their lances - trimmed down in size and glued on to the Silver Helms.  I also found that the more dynamic fluttering pieces of cloth that the White Lions have in their kit and in the chariot kit attached to their axes and horns etc. might be suitable for the Reavers.  The Reavers have a smaller banner pole.

Also - Sally 4th were wonderful and custom cut me a bunch of Warmaster inlays at no extra cost!  I figured I didn't need 3 command stands in every box so asked for an experimental design with more room for normal units!

They're not quite perfect, but finally finished 3 more terrain templates for rough ground / woodland for Warmaster!

Have assembled the next 5 Sally 4th boxes, just going to glue the inlays now - then I'll have a lot more room top ut units in progress.

Thanks! I have 9 of these, now.

Not very big, when my Dad gets some time we'll chop up some more.  Ideally I want enough to do 2 tables.

In addition, in the long run I would like to do some yellow/brown "wasteland" ones to represent Khemri / Araby on a desert cloth.

In a perfect world I would also have some frozen / tundra ones for Kislev / Empire / Naggaroth but that's for a time in the far future.

;-P

Finally! For the first time in a year I picked up a paintbrush.

First Warmaster unit finished in almost a year.  Chaos Hounds, with another unit in progress.

Just a little thing I thought I'd do, here, some objective markers.

When we played a friendly little Warmaster tourney last year we did a basic "capture the three treasure piles" scenario so that it wasn't a simple free for all.

I've been meaning to make some kind of thing like that - and the EDG elven obelisks proved perfect.

I might make some desert ones, too, not sure at the moment.

Ha ha! I'm going a lot slower than intended, but still much faster than last year.

Another unit of Chaos Hounds finished! 4 in total now, enough for 2000 points as Chaos.  Hounds are the only filler unit that Chaos have so I will ALWAYS field the maximum allowed for breakpoint purposes.

I started on a Chaos Warriors and a Chaos Knight unit but felt I needed a break so think it might actually be dwarf cannons next.  It might not be efficient but my desire is simply to be able to look at my desk and not feel tired. =-P

It is very important you do not feel obligated to paint that or whatever! go for those cannons, no one know when you could need some cannon fire in the game!

By the way, nice unit. Like golden armour in chaos warriors

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Windmill-Warhammer-Warmaster-Forge-World-Flames-of-War-10mm-15mm-terrain-/121400074179?

Got them from these guys but they seem to have moved on to doing Epic stuff? "Gregster's Lab" on the Tac forum.

You could email them and ask?

Just to prove I'm not dead, some WIP!

I've got rather a lot of command minis for different factions so I think I'm going to have quite a few 40mm command stands, if for fun if nothing else.
