Messing around with ways to include the special rules. The Empire list has the functionality at the moment:

Useful? Yes or no? Same for Spells?

Hi, that's very useful indeed. Being able to see everything on one side of A4 will be a great help for those of us who don't play as often as we'd like.

If it were possible, I'd prefer not to see the stats/rules for units that are not selected. I'd also like to be able to input the army point cost so that the min/max worked accordingly. I'd imagine that would be a lot of work and what's here is already great.

Thanks again for this, it's brilliant.

pw, got an example of how the min/max isn't working? Everything I've managed to come up with hasn't broken it.

Hi Dave, this is my mistake, I'd not noticed that the min/max warning changed when you hit 2000/3000 etc. It looks like the app is cooler than I thought!

To make the print version neater (and easier to fit on one side of A4) I wonder if it would be possible to either (a) shrink the list aspect a little or (b) add the number of units/points in a column next to the relevant stats? Again, this is just wishful thinking and totally unnecessary!

You're looking for a # of units column and a total points column next to the stats block (so the army list and stats block combined essentially)? And a Special Rules list only with the rules for those units in your list?

That's doable, although rather than change what's up there now I'll probably add "Stats Block+" and "Special Rules-" options, that way people will have the choice of what to print. Might have to add some hover text for them as they might cause some head scratching.

That's right, I think it'd be the neatest way of presenting all of the useful data in the smallest space.

...also, do you ever see the addition of the details being included for print for the magic items selected?

Special rules require a bit of formatting, once I find my momentum figure a week or two (depending on how busy things are at work).

Magic Items should be doable too, the nice thing about that is I only have to do it once. To be honest though the Pick a Card... Magic Cards are probably the easiest way to remember what those do:

Change the point value of what? The army? It's calculated every time you add or remove something.

Doesn't seem to do that for me, either.

Dave, I tried this out last night with a friend who'd not played WM before and it was brilliantly helpful. Instant army lists/rules got things going in no time! Thanks.

To confirm, on the Selector page, you don't see the bold unit # and point cost change whenever you add or remove something? Do you see anything bold at all below the red warnings?

What about the text page? Does that report points and totals?

No, the limits are always set at 1k. If I put a 2k army list in, anything that is over the 1k limits gets flagged.
