Have you considered using the High Elf mages and painting them up as DE?

One of my opponents already has high elves, so i thought it'd look too similar to his mage. Noone has undead

I've now got everything i need to make a Cauldron of Blood stand.

Inspired by azrael i'm going to copy his idea and use an avatar figure and a big pile of skulls from the Tomb King general kit. The space will be limited so i was thinking of standing the statue on the skulls. The big washer will be the base.

I've also gone through some bits i had in a box and found lots of 28mm WW2 helmets and a shield (lots of my friends design miniatures, I get bits given me) My plan is to turn the helmets upside down and use them as the cauldron. Also found a shield that's the size i'm looking for, I think it was going to be a Spartan shield :)

I'll also have some witch elves spare and a spare sorceress. Sorted  ;D

Did a group shot, not used any lamps just natural lighting. Seems a bit dark, but not bad  :)

Yes i'm aiming for just over a 3k army, so i can take different lists. I've also done extra characters, so i can use a different mix if i want (for example, i might not want to take the cauldron and the manticore in the same army)


I've started putting together the cauldron last night. The cauldron has to dry, it's not in the picture. Here's what i've done so far
