Painted some more DE crossbowmen last night, and a hero stand.

Here they are, xbows are 99% finished. Just need to finish the last bit of drybrushing on the base and flock them.

Made a start on some cavalry tonight, just colour testing.

I really like these 10mm horses, very nice sculpts. Are all dark rider horses black?...... so far i've done all mine black.

Very nice painting- and quick too.

I think all Dark Elf horses are black, but I doubt you'd get anyone complaining if you went with other dark colours for variety.

Thanks Geep  ;D I kept the horses black for the Dark Rider unit.

Sorry about the quality of the picture, my daylight bulb has gone in my lamp.

We need a bit more 10mm scale terrain for our games. So on sunday i made a road, and got some N gauge scale fences and hedges.

Here's the fences i bought;

I quickly painted one up as a test piece

Here's how it scales with an infantry unit behind it

Made one section of hedge

The road. There's enough here's to easily stretch across 5 foot of table.

Didn't have much time to paint any dark elves. Only managed to half finish a unit of Cold One Knights.

My pendraken figures have arrived, i ordered some 10mm dark elves from them. However, the figures are just Kallistra dark elves. They are also designed for hordes and heroes which is slightly larger than warmaster (12mm or 15mm?) The man at pendraken has very kindly said i can send them back and get a refund. Gutted, i really wanted some other dark elf characters.
Here's the stuff i'm sending back

Had a short painting session tonight, but did manage to finish my Cold One Knights. i'm sanding them tonight, then adding a bit of flock tomorrow.

Cheers double click  ;D it's the first warmaster army i've painted. I'm finding it alright so far.

I painted another unit of dark riders tonight, but i can't get a good photo of them. Maybe i need to take pics in the day? i dunno. But here they are in all their blurry glory  :P

PS. I've got my first tester game with my Dark Elves on sunday April 10th, against my friends Chaos army.
We're going to use the scenario from Warmag 7 called "The relief of Nienna"
If you know that scenario i'll be playing the equivalent of the High Elf force that's trying to defend their coastal towns.
Should be good fun  :D

EDIT

Slightly better photo in the day

Just done an "Army so far" photo;

Impressive! Both the paint jobs and the speed at which you paint!

If you are willing to get different figures, and Pendraken doesn't fit you, you could try with irregular. They have some high elves poses, but with some paint colour scheme could pass as dark elves.

Here They are some pics

here is a link you could use to search for suitable models

hope it helps

Thanks graymatterblues, very kind.

Cheers Jchaos, yes that's lots of help thanks. I've already got your site saved in my favourites, it's brilliant. I've looked at it many times  ;D
 I am tempted by some of the figures for my Dark Elf general base. I've got a few ideas for his base so far..... I'm thinking of heads on poles and humans that have been spiked onto a pole (same as Vlad the Impaler used to do)
