Hi, I'm just getting back into BFG after a long hiatus.  I just want to be guided in the right direction with regards to the most upto date rules.  I have downloaded the varius PDFs from the GW site, but am interested in all the rules variations and corrections (balance etc) mentioned on this site.

My question would be, is there a condenced list of all the changes and upgrades recommended?  I have had a quick scoot around the net, but I've been foxed by my lack of familiarity with it all.

Currently, what is on GW's websie is what is official.

Soon to be published is FAQ2010 (a little behind schedule), and a whole host of modifications to the existing fleet lists. These can eb found in a link in flybywire's forum signature, but won't be official until they are posted on GW's website.

Of fan made modifications, the two major ones right now are:

Eldar MMS v1.9, which fixes the way eldar play. Right now in the hands of a skilled player Eldar are effectively unbeatable. This fixes that, and makes them more fun to play as and against.

Fixed Ships (or FS), which is being developed in parrallel to FAQ2010. FAQ2010 barely touched on rebalancing ships that needed it, so this is a fan-made rebalance. It extensively rebalances the ships of every fleet, includes Eldar MMS v1.9, A complete overhaul of Orks, and adjustments to the core rules to correct things that couldn't be ammended in FAQ2010. it's in development at the moment, and links are in Plaxor's signature.

Fixed ships? Well I suppose the name 'Flawed Ships' is a misnomer. Maybe 'Plaxor's Amazing Amalgam of House Rules!'

Oh and just a thought, I was trying to think of what I would call it. As 'Flawed Ships' is a poor name. I was planning on coming up with a name before I started on the rules pages. Any ideas?

How about "Battlefleet Gothic v2.0 unofficial".

I think the project is large and sweeping enough to lay good claim to that.

I was thinking Battlefleet Gothic: Revised

Simple and to the point. I figure BFG 2.0 would confuse people.
