Oh and ships that are in canon, but not in bfg feel free to list them.

I think this is the first time that I've seriously gone through the ships in the books, but they stay very true to the fluff of BFG, and keeping the B+W ship profile pictures are cool.

Ships from RT (all in obscuras)

Escorts (or would be): Hazeroth, Havoc, Tempest (Would have a launch bay W/ABs)

Heavy Cruisers: Ignis Class (Ultima)

Gah, Kar-Duniash isn't a class! Civilian? Do you mean military?

Actually, Rogue Traders would be considered civilians.  (despite how heavily armed they are)

And, IIRC, the fluff in the old RT fleets artical does talk about the 'rt cruiser' as a 'Kar-Duniash' class cruiser, unique to that local.

I know, it's just that most rogue traders fly old naval vessels. Which means that they were probably military at some point.

It doesn't mention it in the original fabric of the imperium article. Where do you think it would be listed?

Also they don't really name ships after planets, however they do have the armageddon... but I don't think that's necessarily named after the planet.

Plaxor,
Eh.. Mars.... Lunar (moon).

Yeah... you might be seeing me sooner or later    ;-)
I think the Dutch have a nice naval tradition (rather then a navel one)
I think I even have the "older" version of BFG ?!?  where you had to roll dice in a boxlid that was divided into spaces to determine results ....??!!
Wat is er mis met de Nederlandse navel?
;)

The Dictator may not be in the Bastion fleets but it is certainly included in the Gothic sector fleet which is part of Obscuras.

Masque, I think you mean Dominator, which yes in the fluff there is a single dominator in the Gothic fleet, however it's not included in the bastion fleet. It's more like an allied ship in this respect. This section shows ships that are used fairly often.

So I've been working on a concept for the Ignis class. What is listed for it is that it was designed to fight battleships with high firepower. It has a high combat speed, and is supposed to be a linebreaker, but it has power issues. Of course this is off of assumptions and thoughts in Flawed ships.

Ignis Class Battlecruiser:

Cruiser/8   Shields:1  Turrets:3   Speed 20   Armor:6+/5+

Port/Starboard weapons batteries:  fp12@30
Dorsal weapons batteries: Fp6@30
Prow torpedoes: 4 (mimicking the RTcruiser)

Special rules: The Ignis class was a failed attempt to improve the speed and weapons on a dominator-class hull. However the ship gets an additional 2d6 movement whilst on all ahead full, however it will place a blast marker in contact with it's base when it declares Lock on orders before it moves (I.E. it will slow the ship by 5cm)

Except Ignis is a heavy cruiser, not a BC.  And, the only one I could find (Implacable Flame) was equipped with a lance rather then torps.

You're perfectly right Baron, there is only one Ignis cruiser listed, but it is 'modified' and I made these stats to fit a bit better with what IN would likely give it for prow weaponry. Also FFG is a little against putting torps on their ships as I don't think they've written rules for them yet (iirc) hopefully in BFK.

Heavy cruiser... battlecruiser.... I wrote it as a BC just to avoid the restriction convolution in a potential list.

Meh, it wasn't hard with the Cardinal class, and it's a heavy cruiser.  Hcs count as cruisers for taking other ships so...

HCs take a similar slot as BCs in Chaos. They are kinda the same class of ship, but for some reason they decided to call them heavy cruisers for chaos, and battlecruisers for IN.

I guess it's fine calling it a HC, although it would have the same restrictions as BCs (I.E you can only buy one
 BC/HC/CG for every 2 cruisers)

Any thoughts on the stats though? Decent? I'm trying to write up an eastern fringe list, and the Ignus has the same storyline/feel as the Acheron, where it was experimental, and no one really knows if there is more than one.

They were in fanatic magazine back in the day, they're all unofficial. Can't give you a link, but search for "additional ships compendium"
