Movement and squadrons
« on: November 18, 2010, 02:32:47 PM »
What happen when one ship of a squadron cannot move half the movement of it's sister ships?
This happens when a ship suffers movement penalty due to critical and cripple for instance.
Does the squadron then move as fast as the slowest ship can even though the other ships will not be moving at the required minimum of half it's movement rate?

Common sense would mean to me that the 'healthy' vessels still move their own speed and thus subject to their normal minimum values. The 'suffering'  vessel will have the mission to get back in line as soon as possible the following turns.

Most likely unless you use something like burn retros or CTNH. not horribly problematic since you can now disengage the lagging vessel without disengaging the entire squadron or just take the no special orders penalty until it gets back in formation.
