whow really nice! is the eagle from eureka range of miniatures?

I have an old ral partha figure for an alternative giant which I selected once for the case of building an albion army. I painted when I was a kid, and could be interesting the idea for your albion army. I had to found it, find the reference of the figure take a pic and I will post it later.

It sure is a eureka warhawk :)
Hopefully it will be painted next week.

But back to this week,
Managed to get my warhounds and archers/slingers done :)

Here are the results tartan kilts, woad facepaint and all.

The plan for next week is my hippogriff and 8 units of warriors.
But my supplies are running low and I have a 4000 point chaos army to prep and paint ;)

Here is the idea for the albion giant, I think is a creature of celtic mythology ?? is a Fachan or something like that, is from Ral Partha, the Rune Quest line of figures. Could be a idea for your albion army, hope it helps

I have recently been asked to recreate my chaos wyrm for a commission piece.
Just the model has been asked for, the customer wants to do the paint job.

So here it is. With stunted wings to make it different to my original.

Had a very productive week.
Got stuck into some commission work I have on and managed to finish 6 units of chariots and a unit of eagles for my Albion force.

I have got into the rut of just banging out units en masse, so the commission work has helped me to focus on quality rather than quantity.
This really helped with my chariot crews.

Here are the pics.

Just the cavalry, warriors and a few heroes and these are finished :)

Got to say, I am not that happy with the horses.
It was an experiment with a new undercoat.
Works great on wooden items, but not so much on horses.
May have to revisit them.

The crew are great, even if I say so myself  :P

You're right, the crews are great, the horses a little blah.  I'm not sure I see that much of a problem with the undercoating itself, but just that they all look the same.

There was an interesting piece on how to paint horses -- forgotten where and in what context -- whose main point was that horses tend to look very different from each other.   Convinced me that painting cavalry is almost as much of a bother as painting Confederates.

I tend to use one base color for horses too for every unit. But one easy thing to do is give a few of them some markings. Like a white stripe on the head or a white stripe on the lower leg. If you give half of the horses those markings and mix them together it will distract a bit from the fact that they are basically all the same. :)

heres some reference:

But I think your horses look great (especially the "blue-greyish" ones), only those that have a similar tone like the wood of the chariot kinda blend in to much with the rest so they dont stand out that much but they still look good.

I'm with Guthwine on this, the grey ones look fine while the brown ones, while painted to the same standard, look a little bland because they blend into the brown of the chariot. That said, they look fine to me, I'd be very happy to play with/against them.

What really makes the crew stand out so nicely is the bright clean colours you've chosen and in my (minimal) experience of painting WM it seems that daring (bright) colour choices are often rewarded in a way that isn't so true at 28mm.

Finally finished the work I have been doing for Carrington.
16 casualty markers.
I have got to say I still have these to do for myself, but they are a joy to paint.
They are not as shiny in real life as the pictures show, except for the mud and the blood.

I must admit, I really need to work on my photography as they don't do the models justice :(
Next on the work bench 3 units of high elves and the 4k chaos army (I need the cash ;))

Me too :)
I would love to see the full set, even on here.
But to own them all would be great.

I know there are a lot of them, but does anyone have the full list?
It never stated exactly in WarMag which one were available
:(
