Here is the other one in the colours of Slaanesh

Both together

Decided on bone armour and took Dave's advice about the gems.
I found the fire technique was enhanced by a couple of washes of red wash to deepen the effect:)

I was going to do the cloak hem pastel blue, but it sucked so pure white it stayed.

The way to deal with gems properly is to highlight the bottom corner, shade the top opposite corner and then add a white 'speck' in the top shaded corner. GW have been advocating this technique since as long as I can remember, I'm sure I read a 'how to' in the 'Eavy Metal' section of White Dwarf back in the early 90's when the Mk 7 Space Marines (the metal ones) were new and most of them had gems in the middle of their chest eagles. And of course the Eldar had become very gem-heavy with their soul-stones and suchlike...

Anyway, very nice, I really must consider painting my own at some point. After all I have had them since about a year before they got released, same with most of my Kislev stuff actually, and none of it painted, properly at least anyway...

After selling 2 units of my harpies, I decided to replace them and add 2 units to my long 'finished' dark elf army.

Here are the results.
Black and purple for the dark elves

And them a couple of units for my chaos hordes

Long time no paint.
The demise of the painters tale hasn't helped along with 3k of British in 10mm for BKC.
Thought they would be easy, the tanks were, but hit painters block and been up to my neck in work and nerf wars recently.
Anyway, they are done now and 8 units of albion slingers/bows are sat primed on the workstation ready for a bit of attention.
As well as making my pegasus knights.
Also toying with buying a 4k chaos force splitting into 2x2k forces, painting them and banging them up un eBay. But who knows.

Anyway here is my British Army.

So cool! even with spitfires (I guess).
Which ruleset are the army base for?

I love 10mm in every period

Thanks
They are spitfires, but they are useless as I already have air superiority in the 44-45 theatre.
They are based for the BlitzKrieg Commander (warmaster).

We have had a few games and it makes a nice change, but I have been playing as the Gerry's.
Not lost a game yet, so no doubt that is about to change. ;)

Only problem comes from your brain trying to combine rulesets.
If you think WM & WMA causes issues, try this :)

Start of my Albion army.
Changed a hero and a giant to have tattoos along with my test archer/slinger unit (please note the tartan kilts).

Hi,

I am looking for Goblin spiders (alternative for goblin wolf riders). Do you have a source to get one or two units?

Regards,

Juergen
Armies ready for battle - Empire, Chaos, Dwarves, Skaven, Bretonia, Araby, Witch Hunters
Armies in recruitment - Orcs & Goblins, High Elves, Dogs of war

Hello Juergen,
Welcome to the forums.
Best to pop this sort of query in it's own thread, that way you will get more viewers ;)

But to answer your question eBay is probably your only hope.
You may try sentrybox or chaosorc (google), (there goes my sources ;)) but I think I bought the last few units from sentrybox 18 months ago.

They do fetch very high prices these days :( but they are very nice models, I prefer them over the wolf riders.
Good luck with your search.

Bit of a slow week for finished units.
I have only managed to complete one unit of Albion Slingers/Archers

But the other 7 units have their hair and skin done so they are about 50% done.
I have done 7 units of warhounds just needing teeth, eyes and basing so around 80% complete.
This is in addition to me trying to sort out the army into reasonable units.
Hopefully, RL permitting, I may just get the majority of these finished next week.

Also started prototyping my pegasus knights and hero on hippogriff.

The peg needs some GS work and he is ready for production.
The hippogriff needs a lot of GS work and I cannot get a decent pic of him at the moment, so I will post one when this is not the case ;)

I have finished my warhounds (pics later) and I am cracking on with my archers.
Last night I GS'd my pegasus knight test model along with my Hippogriff.
Here are the results.
Sorry for the pics being a bit dark :(

Pegasus Knight

Hippogriff

I should really concentrate on my Albion though ;)
