[WM] Azrael71's various projects
« on: May 17, 2009, 08:09:29 PM »
Never one to have an original thought here is my WM blog.
Recently started my Beasts of Chaos Army by painting up a unit of minotaurs.
I will probably keep the majority of the army slaanesh themed.
Aiming for a wide selection of troops with the possibility to field practically any mix of troops up to 2k (looking at 4k in total).
Models are by Eureka.

I will post some of my older work by army and also on request over the next few weeks.

Finally finished painting my converted slaaneshi chaos dragon.
Took me longer to decide how to do the legs than anything else.

It was going to be a nice red colour all over, then I saw the new star trek movie and had to revise my plans so it didn't look like a rip-off :(

looks awsome,

looking at the dragon I wonder to buy a chaos dragon to make a similar conversion. I put it in my to do list.

I have an vintage 28mm ral partha miniature from the Rune Quest range called "headhanger". Its a really nasty giant bug. My plan is to use it as a ram for the chaos in the sieges battles. Same rules as rams but is a living-stupidmineded-creature that only attack the buildings. Your conversion is in the mood of the line of chaos I will like to develop.

Thanks for share your ideas,

I have recently been working through minis for the Warmaster trial armies book.
This week I have been working on Chaos Dwarves.
The models are from Eureka's fabulous range, check them out.
The detail on these models is outstanding.
Just need to paint a sorcerer, a couple of heroes, a sorceror on a lammasu and a unit of chaos dwarves to be done.
I am going to use botfa goblins as hobgoblins.

Hellmaw/ground shaker cannon

Bull Centaur Hero

Hero Riding Gorgon/great taurus

Bull Centaurs

Blunderbusses

Very Impressive Mick you've done a fantastic job on these I wasn't convinced about the Eureka Chaos Dwarfs but you've changed my mind and the bases are great would have never have thought of that. I like the axe swap on the Great Taurus hero.

Will you do me a favour and email a pic of the Gorgon directly side on I want to check something  ;)

@Dave, thank you. From you that is a very big compliment.

@Carrington, You are correct (I think) a friend gave them me to make my tzeentch daemon beasts from and I just found them again the other day along with the spare bits of the dragon.

Just working on some wood elf bits, including the new General/green man and a unit of dryads.
They may be ready this afternoon 8)

Very nice army!!

I particulary like the colour scheme and the bases with those streams of fire.

Wow, an army per week?

Only managed to get a unit of Dryads and Orion done (my general).
I have painted my unit of warhawks + 2 for hero mounts and 2 stag mounts but no riders as yet.

Here you go.

hey I like the idea of basing trees in the wood elf army ;D

it goes with the mood of the army. Also like the green skin for the wood elves.

A shakespearian inspiration, I'd say.
