Nice, but i think you should add something textured between the polystyren and the vegetation. A mix a sand and glue for example.

I give a coat of glue + water + paint to consolidate the poliurethane. But I guess sand + glue gives texture and is more efficient in order to consolidate it.

Project: Kislev infantry warriors

Unit: 5th infantry, bear masters

Bear masters are royal bear hunters with the mission of taming the bears and make royal steeds for upper class of kislevites. They are tough dudes and prefere being in the tundra and the steppe rather than in the court.

Poject: Kislev solo campaing adds & odds Phase I

Terrain: Ruins from lost civilization

Some scattered elder ruins. No one remember what culture belongs to.

And here we go, I am starting a Turk army (a sweet moment), my first miniproject and my first unit

Project: Ottoman turks, the empire of the half moon

Unit: 1st light cavalry, Balcan horse archers

This light infantry from the balcans first fight against the turks, and later they fight with the turks when their lords became vassal of the sultan. For the turks they are Rumeli Akincis.

The figures are awesome, and also fit well as kislevites horse archers.

I'm on fire... I guess next year I will not have so many spare time, so my rate will slow down.

I am preparing the sultan army to cross dice with your landskenettes... if you dare  8) Maybe for the summer?

Project: Undivided Chaos, Sarl Tribe

Unit: 3th warrior of chaos

Among the northmen there are those who feel the pull of chaos stronger than others, they are called to search the path of the gods, the glory and finally the inmortality or the death in battle. Warrior of chaos are awesome fighters which skills are improved by constant battles. They are held in fear and have great respect and authority among the tribes.

Project: Undivided Chaos, Sarl Tribe

Unit: 1st Mammuth of Chaos

Some northmen tame mammuth from the tundra in order to use them in battles. Those war mammuth are quite intelligent critters able to learn how to attack enemy units and also they are very resilient critters able to withstand such quantity of pain. The difference with the cousins the elephants are that chaos war ammouth do not know fear so do not enter in frenzy mode.

I will use the chaos spawn profile for this beast

Project: Undivided Chaos, Sarl Tribe

Unit: Leader of the Sarl Tribe.

While painting the mammoth my son of 20 months ask me to paint, so I give him this characters and an old marta kolisnsky brush of 00. The general was painted by him in a randomize way. Finally I lead his hand for three strokes of paint, white hornes and silver axe blade.

He did not pay too much attention to the warrior holding the horse, I give him silver colour, and he cover all the figure and then he ask me for red and paint his head/helmet (for telling the truth I guess he only manage to get the top of the figure with the red dip brush and then I remove the figure from him).

But he love to paint the horse. The horse became silver, then blue, then green then red. When he paint the head (top of the figure red) I remove the figure from him and then I lead his hand with some strokes of yellow in order to enhance the armour.

The experience was very satisfactory for me and for him. Quite exhausted because you need to give him space to manipulate the thing by himself but being aware of not trash the water or spill the paint.

That is how the brush ended after 2 warriors of chaos + 1 horse + 3 arab spearmen painted by him  8)

My wife have a pic made with the phone of both of us painting, if I have time i will upload it.

I have to ask- why the Burger King banner?

Thanks  ;D!

To make room in the howda I chopp the feet and base of the saxon, and glue it on the banner-fish shape to obtain a banner not so historical. So I have a rough surface. When searching for my Chaos decals I found the fixer of a toy froma a Happy meal that have the mark of Burger King and have the perfect size and it is a paper fixed which hidden the roughness of the banner, so I though why not?... it is fun.

Also I saw somewhere in the net a nurlge chaos warrior with a banner and it had painted the same mark but instead Burger King it said Nurlge King, sames colour same font. It was so cool. So I guess it is ok for my unconciesness to asociate the burger king with chaos. The fact it is I see the miniature and feel comfortable with that banner (I know it is strange).

Thanks Stuart, I painted the warriors inspiring me in Hordes of chaos pages 68 and 69.

The mammoth is from irregular miniatures, banner guy is a saxon from pendraken and marauder from GW.

About the paints I used rackham, except for metallic colors. I really like rackham paints.
