You're just a painting machine!
I particularly like the Kislev axe men.

Project: Vampire counts and aristocracy of the night

Character: Black coach

Black Coach is a form of chariot, pulled by a pair of Nightmares, who are controlled by a Wraith. This terrible creation is protected by the arcane wards, able to stop even the most powerful of blows. Its sight on the battlefield causes great terror, with whole regiments fleeing form this abomination; needless to say, they usually meet their death under the wheels of the coach.

That's interesting- where is that coach from?

I thought the driver was bare metal, but now I see he's painted as a ghost- interestingly similar light effect.

It is the 17/18 cemtury carriage from pendraken. It is a beautiful model. In my next order I am going to take three  of those to make the scenario "The scape of the countess Hogelowed"

http://www.forum.specialist-arms.com/index.php?topic=4261.0

About the driver, The metal effect I think is overexpouser with the camara.
The figure is painted: prime in black + blue/greenish base (the same as the hair of the skeletton horses) + highlight with pure white  the whole figure.

If I get something like "non metallic metal" effect I wuold be proud, but for telling the truth it was an effect non searched, I was seeking somtheing phantasmagoric effect.

Anyway.... I admire people that control the non metalic metal effect. I have seen marvellous work of Vincent around here... This is a sort of inspiration, but start learning an effect like this could take time I think.

Project: Vampire counts and aristocracy of the night

Character: Count Dracul

Count Dracul belongs to Blood Dragons are the martial vampires. He is honorable to a fault, though still mostly evil-as-hell, he will never refuse a challenge. Consummate warrior, the count lives to fight.

Project: Vampire counts and aristocracy of the night

Character: The sleeping one

Some vampire are too old to awake, so they remain sleep, and even in their dreams could interact with their enviroment. This vampires are transported by minions like hunchback, ghouls, servents or young vampires inspiring to the undead troops and maybe the presence of the coffin could lead to odd phenomenas like raining blood, atract lightings, gather insects, rise undead, or spreading dead among mortal when they are close to the coffin.

Project: Vampire counts and aristocracy of the night

Character: The Count

This vampire is known for his love to count things, we can see in the picture he is counting severed heads. He used to live in a old mansion in Mordheim, near black sesame street

Glad you like them stormwind, here it comes the rest of the characters (hope the varnish is dry when I make the pictures):

Project: Vampire counts and aristocracy of the night

Character: Manfred von Carstein

Mannfred von Carstein is one of the most magically gifted Vampires in the world. His studies of the Book of the Dead have come to full frutition, mastering the entirety of these dark arts. His magical prowess allows him to push his Undead army far past their normal limits. He is also one of the most tactically brilliant of all Vampire Counts that plague the Empire and has led them to battle on numerous occasions, the most notable being in the last of the Wars of the Vampire Counts in 2132 IC where he was killed in the battle of Battle of Hel Fenn.

Project: Vampire counts and aristocracy of the night

Character: Zacharias the Everliving

Zacharias the Everliving is a Necrarch Lord, an extremely powerful sorcerer, more than a match for lesser mortal mages. He controls the Forest of Shadows, being the terrifying enemy of forest people and nearby mountain Orcs. His terrifying reputation is bolstered by his ghastly mount, for he is one of the few nercomantic mages with enough power to raise and control the Zombie Dragon.

Project: Kislev infantry warriors

Unit: 1st unit of bowmen from Praag.

Composite bow is a cultural arm of the steppe people, so kislev have excellent archers.

Yep, only have 3 spare black nights and also a bunch of regular khemri cavalry, So I recicle all the bits to a unit. The idea of painting 3 scheme of colors came when I present the figures in bare metal on the plastic bases.

The idea one black nigtth + 1 khemri cav per base, but central should have 2 khemri cav figures in order to differenciate them because I did not have banners

Project: Vampire counts and aristocracy of the night

Unit: 2nd band of ghoules

In ancient Arabian folklore, the ghūl (Arabic: literally demon) dwells in burial grounds and other uninhabited places. A ghoul is also a desert-dwelling, shapeshifting, demon that can assume the guise of an animal, especially a hyena. It lures unwary people into the desert wastes or abandoned places to slay and devour them. The creature also preys on young children, drinks blood, steals coins, and eats the dead, then taking the form of the person most recently eaten.

A ghoul is a folkloric monster or evil spirit associated with graveyards and consuming human flesh, often classified as undead.

Project: Vampire counts and aristocracy of the night

Unit: The lonely ghoule

Just a spare figure to base individually, probably used as a kind of marker (if needed) during a vampire count game.

one unit to finish this mini project, but too tired to start painting now. Maybe tomorrow, do not know
