These figures are a glimpse from our egyptian army, bronze age period. (old glory figures)

so enjoy them.

1) Unit of egyptian chariots, the kings of the bronze age battlefields

2) General (ramses II) on chariot attached to a chariot unit

3) Regular egyptian infantry, lots of people without saving test

4) Chariot runners or skirmishes

5) nubian skirmishers, unreliable but effective in combat

6) sherden guards, also unreliable (but not for Pharaon RamesesII) but dreadfull in combat. Better keep this guards to defend positions, they know when they have to attack

7) General egyptian on foot attach to infantry

8) Marines, egyptian elite unit, sometimes save the day!
-No pic at the moment-

Some shots of egyptian in action

Yesterday I finish a orc warrior unit and a orc hero, from Pendraken this time. Here are some close ups. The last pictures is (I tried) a size comparison between pendraken orks/ coppleston orks/ GW goblins.

The orc army is very funny to build/paint up. I like the idea of the Waaagh and the gathering of different types of tribes, and grotesque critters to make a huge army. I try to build up my army with brigades of orcks from different manufactures to represent the diversity of tribes.

I Know GW had a range of savage boyzs, I didnt buy because I was younger and stupid and poorer :) and I think this tribe is not going to be in my army :'(,

anyway HAs someone a pic of these discontinued savage boyz?

It will make me happy see them in close up  ;D

Well my orc and goblin army still increasing,

This week I paint a giant in a goblins style. It is a vintage from my childhood 28mm figure from Granadier unpainted until now, (I remember he was the goblin king/chieftain or something similiar) and I think he fits very well to make a giant for my goblin army.

I use another figure for the giant in a orc style that I will post someday.

The figure for size reference is the elfking, that I also paint this week. They are not based but I take some pictures for you.

Thats my last painting work. A little randomize, but it does the way I like  :P

1) Saxon Houscarl infantry. It have more uses, for Middle earth makes Rohan infantry, and also makes Orlanthis warriors for Glorantha setting.

2)Viking Bersekrs. They have strongs stats, and I decide to base few figures to represent the ferocity of these little dudes. They are not too historic, but I can not resist to include a berserker unit in a viking army. They could fit  as northermen in the Middle earth, and orlanthi colymar tribe in Glorantha setting.

3)Skeleton Bowmen. To continue my undead army project, so last week I open a blister of skeleton bowmen for first time. I had seen the figures, but never paint them and I get shocked while paint them for the quality of the scultp, they are beautiful  :-*. The pic is not very good.

enjoy

Nice job on these figures.

The interesting question for me: how well would the skellie bowmen work as converts to skellie pikemen?
... Though it's more likely that I'd put my masses of Elf bowmen to that use....

Thanks Carrington,

About the conversion of skellie bowmento pikemen I have made some pics close ups. Maybe they could help you to obtein some ideas conversions.

I had been thinking in the matter and I don't see the conversion easy because the skellie bowmen have sculpted the arrow, so if you remove the bow to attach a pike there still modelled an arrow in the chest of the figure. Also some of them are have the arrow integrated in the body of the frontal figure, so if you remove it you are loosing the detai of the frontal figure (in the pic 2 you can see this case).

I wish you could see a effectie way of convert them in the pic that I have not realise.

There are other options, if you are interested in skellies pikemen pendraken and irregular have a range of figures that maybe have an easier conversion.

If you are interested in pikemen (and it doesnt matter for you if they are skellies or high elves or humans) there is wide range of historical figures with different uniforms and different periods that could fit your necessities.

Good luck with your pikes formation, ( pikes are always impressive in the table game  8) )

Last weekend I finish a orc boar rider unit from pendraken. The figures are a little grotesque, and the boars are a little wierd when the first sight. But I like this vintage look of pendraken orc range.

Well enjoy them

I always like to have space marines in 10mm scale.

So, a year ago I tried some "space paint conversions", but yesterday I dare to take some putty over the figures to make up some of them like space marines. As you can see the results are little poor and their similarity to space marines is uncertain. Anyway I enjoy the afternoon in my very first attempt to "putty" 10mm.

Hi,

This are my last units,

-Eagles: last unit painted of Battle of Five Army (project completed).

-Skeleton infantry

-A marker for goblin army. Just a Marker to the Blunder chart when the gobbos start fighting each other of Common Goblins Rules (publish in warmaster magazine). Not very useful during the game but funny.

enjoy them

-halberdiers GW

-halberdiers pendraken (Lanshkenetes rank, useful but not the best figures of pendraken... neither the best painting )

- Organ gun or hellblaster proxy
