Emerald Empire advances against the territory governed by the Alliance of the Hammer and the Lance. An expeditionary force of High Elves (1660) with elite artillery found the first line of dwarf defences: “Mag Griñot Line†was called. (1500 pts). It lays in a woody valley between high mountains.
The dwarfs advance martially forward to take the centre of the valley, coming thigh together between the nearby woody terrains. Meanwhile, the elves speed up to take the hill deploying a line of archers and a force of glade guardians. In the south the cavalry force goes forward some yards.
The gyrocopter, making strange noises and leaving a trail of burned beer smell, take the hill and fire loads of lead to the glade guardians. But a quick advance of elf infantry overwhelms the gyrocopter. The hero called “The Eagle Guardian†ride forward his giant eagle to join the skirmish. The gyrocopter is destroy to pieces.
Meanwhile in the south, the cavalry force starts to surround the woods. This movement make to the rangers and a group of warrior to stop his advance, and return from they came from to watch the dwarfs rearguard.
The first line of trollslayers runs across the valley in a fanatic mood withstanding a rain of arrows. In the north, the elf warriors go across the wood, attack the cannons with success, then they return to the safty of the woods quickly.
Dwarfs thunderers take a formation an repel the elf advance for all the rest of the game. No matter what the general neither the sorcerer says or cry out, the elves were intimidated by the powder and do not leave the hill nor the wood.
In the south the rangers starts a charge against the elf cavalry force. They silver helms and the chariots were waiting for arrival of “The Eagle Guardianâ€. At last the hero arrives on time flying his mighty eagle, and leads a counter charge! The cavalry charge crush against a wall of rangers in close formation. The dwarfs endure the charge and force the silverhelms to flee. But the cunning rangers had leaved some traps in the way and know the terrain perfectly so they chase the disordered elves knight. The unit leaded by “The Eagle Guardian†became confused during his drawback. At last all the elf cavalry force were killed or captured. Now the head of “The Eagle Guardian†hang over a banner with a lance and a hammer.
In the center, the archers and artillery shoot against the troll slayer, that still advancing the determination of a madman. All the main warrior dwarf force goes to the wood, except a regiment leaded by Kazad-Enbaji-Doom, who charge the side of the elf battle line. After causing some damage to the elves, they goes cunningly to a position that threatens the elves rearguard and were save of the archer line of sight.
The dwarfs regroup in the nearby woods joining the rangers, meanwhile the elves make effort to make a improvised line of defence of the menace of Kazad-Enbaji-Doom regiment.
The sun hides in the horizon and the general of the emerald warparty evaluate the damage: They have lost all the cavalry, and a hero and a friend. The dwarfs roar loud from woods and they seems ready to continue fighting all the night, their axes still thirsty of blood. Before some minutes of evaluation the elf general give the order and the elf warparty start to come back out of the valley in order. They can not achieve to destroy the dwarf line of defence and attack the Alliance lands. Now they have to take the bad news to the sultanate of Emerald Empire.
In their way home, they found an emissary of the emerald empire, a young high elf raiding a white steed. The emissary tell that in the north another elf war party, leaded by “The Master of the Dragons†has brake the dwarf defence and enter in the Alliance empire… maybe it is not all lost for the Emerald Empire Incursion.
