Hi!
I want to ask to you what do you think about this fleet:
Diasporex fleet appeared for the first time (correct me if I'm wrong) on Warp Rift n°15.
The backround of these ships is based on the old vessels of the dark era of tecnology, when the Imperium wasen't still born: for this reason this fleet is chaos look-like (=old old ships).
The core idea of this fleet is that, given the base, on every ship (for example, there is one model of carrier and two modest gun ships, one with lances and the other with WB) the player has the possibility to take upgrades choosing from a list, similar to the refits of the campaign rules but this action can be done even in normal games (so without a campaign). Of course there is a limitation on how many upgrades can be took (also because they cost in point).
This fleet fascinates me for mainly two reason:
-the backround: the humans of this fleet rapresent better the genre of sciencefiction that I like: for example there are not techno priest but engineers
and they are allied with aliens (this thing rapresented by an alien specific ship that can be taken into the fleet) rather then burning them in Middle Ages style
-the personalization of the ships (that is not obligatory), always done following strict rules
What would you say? Is that an occasion to gain variety for BFG or it's an horroryfing way to ruin the game?
It has more ships than the Dark Eldars, but far less then IN or Chaos...
Can I link here the Warp Rift (n°15) where this fleet is described?
P.S. those ships have to be build with Chaos hulls, so there's no conflict with gw
Edit: here the link
