[WM] Squig Herd - Has anyone tried doing one?
« on: May 05, 2009, 02:29:52 PM »
In the Goblin (only) army list there is unit type of Squig Herds.
This unit has no uppre limit and looks like a useful addition to my force.
Short of buying rather a lot of command packs just for the squigs has anyone tried to model these troops?
I was planning on using nurgle swarm bases with the odd larger squig on?

Any other ideas or pictures?

considering the scale of WM, i would suggest a simple solution is just get some very small round beads and them mount them on herd bases, if you are good with sculpting use green stuff to make legs , but considering the massive number and the size of the squigs, personally i wouldnt think this is necissary

Hi,

I have found a squig lover who had built a squig army, maybe it could be a source of inspiration for you azrael71,

Hmmm  ....  use squig from existing packs to make a "negative" part mold, bake, oil, and then make small balls, push in mould, take out, squeeze backend for tail, and bake off......

Great Idea, but wouldn't this be copyright theft?

As long as you dont sell them under the GW label you shouldnt have a problem.

Creating a copy for own use is legal under most countries AND European IP law. As is using (parts off) models for creating your own conversions.

i dont play WM.

personally i dont like any of the castle and dragon type games.

i dont play Epic

too damn small to try to paint all that detail.

i DO  like to build the figures and come up with solutions to other people's  figure problems.
