Cheers folks. There's been a bit more action at Grumble towers, painting action no less! Some ghosts from Magister Militum. These were super simple painting, but it does the job.

Here they are rushing some goblins on my first piece of painted scenery.

And for all of you wanting some evidence of some half ogre sculpting:

Thanks for looking, and for the continued support!

Cheers. As I mentioned they were a really some paint job, quickest thing I've ever done.

Perhaps a ghost army? Like the army of the dead in LOTR? It would also be invincible I guess?  ;)

On a not absurd note, some mixed based of all the random 10mm figures painted up as ghosts would probably work pretty well. Might even get a unit painted after my single one last year!

I did my Tomb Kings as such. I'm not happy with them though. I intend, one day, to strip them all back and do a proper dusty bone scheme instead.

Finally managed to get a bit more of the old painting done, this time a unit of Halberdiers (from the wonderful Warmonger miniatures). These chaps represent the Tailors' Guild and are fabulously attired in royal purple and grey/black with a saucy red on the bootees and hats - don't worry, both the Cobblers' and Milliners' Guilds will both be recieving their own units of enforcers!

Thanks for looking.

Lovely stuff Grumbles. I think that seals it for me, when I get round to buying the other half of the empire infantry I'll go for Warmonger.

So, it's been a long time since I've been able to settle my mind a bit and do some proper sculpting. Unfortunately it's been a difficult few months and I've been taking some time to indulge in general painting and fiddling around with some epic bits and bobs.

However, a couple of days ago I came across my long neglected project and thought I'd give it a go:

And I'm loving it!

It actually got my creative brain firing again and excited, so I'm happy to say that my grand scheme is back up and running.

More soon!

Those Ogres are coming along nicely there. Hats off to you to be able to work in such a small scale with sculpting materials. The guy on the right is quite a wiry fellow don't you think (Pun intended) - :o)
