I totally forgot to post the LoC I did recently! (Some may have seen it on WM Downunder FB page though).

Ah this is fantastic, beautiful work!

Have you written a little colour breakdown of how you did it?

Marelle
I'm not entirely sure about the base. For now, maybe I will leave it, as my Daemon stuff is all simple dark brown mud/earth right now. Trying to decide on whether to add dead grass tufts.

IIRC,The paint colours are:

Flesh tones: GW Ultramarine Blue for the flesh base with watered down Screamer Pink built up then washed with Carroburg Crimson to darken it and highlighted with Pink Horror. Then watered down Teclis blue for the sharp blue highlights over the top.

Staff: Sotec Green with watered down Templeguard Blue feathered over the top as the second stage followed by Baharroth Blue and finally watered down Blue horror.

Wing feather layers are: Ultramarine base and Screamer pink top layer; Templeguard Blue dry brush; Baharroth Blue dry brush then Blue Horror for the wing tips and a final light dry brush of over the whole wing. I used Drakenhof Blue to add a bit of shadow between the feather layers.

Robes: Warpfiend Grey base and Slaanesh Grey+ a touch of white for the highlight (The SG was too similar to the WF grey so needed white to give more definition in the highlight).

When I say "with watered down paint" I'm usually trying to end up with that colour having the previous colour showing through a bit so it's not so stark a colour change.

Love the muted yet colourful approach to the LoC. Please don't forget to update in the future...

As for the base, i think a secondary colour would be nice. Not necessarily a basic green if your world is a daemonic one !

Maybe a colour that will contrast with your blue. So more an orange. Like... Lava ? Or a piece of equipment ?
