Army Galleries
« on: September 18, 2009, 11:25:37 AM »
For ease of finding stuff back, I would suggest we all create a seperate thread where we (re)post relevant pictures. That thread would be for viewing only, so all comments etc still go into the main monthly thread. Alternativly a Mod could split up the "relevant" posts into seperate subjects AFTER each month has passed, but that be a LOT of work for the mod, so I think my 1st suggestion = better.

For those that UPLOAD pictures with their post, and dont use flickr or photobucket, note that once uploaded pictures CAN be used as an imagelink afterwards !!  which means we dont tax the SG-forum webspace overdue.

That sounds like an excellent idea to me (I was also wondering about how to keep all the pictures manageable).

I think option one is excellent. So, one 'Gallery' thread per person for the purpose of showing pictures and not for discussion sounds like the way forward. I'd also say that there's no need to exclude stuff painted before the TOWM began last week but suggest that pictures be limited to those of models that are to be included in the army being painted for the 'Tale'.

Does that sound alright?

Ack ... that sounds about right..... and for the LAZY buggers here, that simply means you go into Edit mode, grab the post and paste it into your gallery thread !!

I think that one thread per army/person is a good idea, its getting rather hard to keep track of who's doing what and so on, as well there are so many of us now...

I don't know whether keeping comments in those threads or one central thread is the best idea though, as so many of the comments are in the nature of advice on basing, painting and so on which are applicable and useful to all...

What we said:  post pictures and text in the main monthly thread, but because it is BIG.....  also put pictures up in your Gallery thread (with the option of posting additional pictures there too).

Ah gotcha, so the 'gallery thread' is really just to keep your own progress in one handy place right?
