10/24 Tournament Follow Up:

So it seems there's at least some interest. Here's a few details:

Cost:  Free

Location:  TBD, but probably Game Kastle Santa Clara

Rules: Standard + 2010 FAQ, with the following two changes:

1) Blast Markers using standard blue book rules (i.e. Blast Markers are not 360-degree).

2) Escorts get a +1 to hit ordnance with ship-based weapons, such as lances (Trying this optional rule out). Turrets are treated as normal.

Fleets: 1500 points. At least 1000 must be spent on one list. Up to 500 may be spent on allies from another race.

To RSVP, you must email me your list at lepercolony AT gmail.com. Please put the list in the body of your email, not as an attachment.

Lists must be in by Friday, 10/16. If I don't receive at least six lists by that date, I'll cancel the event.

I am going to think long and hard about it. It is a little bit of a drive for me and I haven't played in a bit. i'll think on it.

Well, unfortunately there wasn't enough interest to justify a tournament.  However, I did receive a message from someone who would like to play, but can't make the weekend of the 24th.  Consequently, I will look to schedule a smaller scale event sometime soon.

Also, I will be trying to schedule semi-monthly BFG events, typically set at the end of a month, when I am in the bay area.
